Role Summary
Develops, implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. 5G SMF QA Architect — Key Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end QA strategy and architecture for the 5G Session Management Function (SMF)
- Design test coverage for PDU session lifecycle: creation, modification, release, and error handling
- Validate SMF interfaces and interactions with AMF, UPF, PCF, UDM using SBA (HTTP/2, REST)
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP specifications (SMF, QoS, charging, policy control)
- Drive automation‑first testing (functional, API, regression) integrated with CI/CD pipelines
- Architect performance, scalability, and latency testing for CPS, session scale, QoS flows
- Lead resiliency, failover, and chaos testing for cloud‑native SMF deployments
- Define network slicing and QoS flow validation scenarios
- Ensure security testing for signaling, APIs, and data protection
- Standardize test environments using Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms
- Define quality gates, KPIs, and release exit criteria for SMF deliveries
- Mentor QA engineers and review test designs and automation frameworks
- Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and Architecture teams to embed quality early
