Description -

The position works directly with internal and external customers to support HP PageWide Industrial (PWI) press operations, print sample production, customer demonstrations, and marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for operating PWI web presses, coordinating print sample production, supporting customer engagements, and ensuring high-quality output that showcases the capabilities of HP PageWide technology.

The HP Web Press is a large-scale industrial printing system requiring hands-on mechanical, electrical, and operational expertise. You will work closely with R&D engineers, operations teams, marketing stakeholders, and customers to diagnose and resolve press-related issues, support demonstrations, and deliver world-class customer experiences. As needed, you will proactively escalate and coordinate the resolution of technical and production challenges on behalf of customers.

Key Responsibilities

Print Sample Scheduling & Coordination

• Manage and maintain a comprehensive list of print sample requests.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate internal print sample production activities.
• Source print samples and related materials from multiple suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate with print procurement partners to obtain specialty materials when required.
• Coordinate all phases of multi-step sample production projects from concept through delivery.
• Communicate project status, timelines, and production updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain customer meeting calendars and scheduling activities.
• Organize meeting agendas and facilitate coordination of customer engagements.
• Support and coordinate PWI customer demonstrations in partnership with the GEC Manager.
• Manage customer event logistics and support activities.
• Track and manage marketing assets required for trade shows, demonstrations, and customer events.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Support the release and distribution of content across internal and external communication channels, including websites, account-based marketing campaigns, social media, and public relations initiatives.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of PWI booths and displays at customer and industry events.

Design & Production Management

• Design, preflight, and produce print samples showcasing HP PageWide Industrial printing applications and capabilities.
• Create and manage fictional artwork and demonstration pieces that highlight HP print solutions.
• Incorporate moderate-complexity workflow elements, including variable data printing, personalization, and automation features, to demonstrate solution capabilities.
• Review, preflight, and prepare customer-provided artwork for production while ensuring quality and customer expectations are met.
• Develop and execute print sample plans that align customer objectives with production capabilities.
• Collaborate with Go-To-Market teams, marketing organizations, and customers to define requirements and ensure successful project execution.

Press Operations & Technical Support

• Operate and demonstrate HP PageWide Industrial presses during customer visits, demonstrations, and print production activities.
• Produce customer-provided print samples while ensuring exceptional image quality, color accuracy, and print fidelity.
• Perform quality inspections and quality control reviews of all printed output.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, workflow, and print-quality issues affecting production operations.
• Work closely with R&D and Operations Engineering teams to diagnose equipment and tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support rapid-turnaround customer requests, including last-minute file modifications and production changes.
• Escalate technical issues appropriately and coordinate resolutions to minimize customer impact and production downtime.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following established operational procedures.

Leadership & Problem Solving

• Apply developed subject matter expertise to solve both routine and complex operational and business challenges.
• Exercise independent judgment to evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions within established policies and guidelines.
• Lead or coordinate project activities, facilitate team collaboration, and support informed decision-making processes.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a trusted resource for customers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in print production, industrial printing, customer support, marketing operations, or a related field.
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience operating industrial equipment, production systems, or digital printing technologies is highly desirable.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot graphic file issues, print-quality concerns, and production workflow challenges.
• Working knowledge of print production, prepress processes, color management, and digital workflow systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated customer focus with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and design/prepress software tools.

Preferred

• Experience with HP PageWide Industrial presses or similar production printing equipment.
• Experience supporting customer demonstrations, trade shows, or marketing events.
• Familiarity with variable data printing and digital workflow automation

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $36.00 per hour (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
