We are Covestro. We are curious. We are courageous. We are colorful. We refine chemical material solutions with game-changing products. Let us empower you to push boundaries. Join us and our 18,000 colleagues now and together we will make the world a brighter place.
WHAT WE OFFER
At Covestro, our strategy to focus on customer needs, drive sustainable growth, and become fully circular rests on a foundation of compliance and digital transformation. Our digital transformation touches all departments across the company, such as data infrastructure, sales, R&D, product safety, and much more. You will learn about Covestro products — including their chemistry, applications, end uses, and regulatory landscape — while gaining hands-on experience supporting the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team at our North American headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to real-world projects spanning chemical compliance, data systems, and raw material evaluation. Covestro strives to foster a positive, enriching, and productive work environment and provides multiple forms of training and professional development throughout the internship program.
The internship program will be in the summer of 2027, offered at our Pittsburgh, PA site and lasts approximately 12 weeks.
Responsibilities
As an intern on the PSRA team, you will split time between two complementary focus areas: the first is regulatory and raw material compliance — supporting chemical compliance initiatives, and contributing to regulatory topics (OSHA, EPA, etc.); the second is digitalization and data systems — optimizing the workflows, tools, and platforms that house and manage product and compliance information, directly supporting Covestro's digital transformation journey.
This role is ideal for someone who is as comfortable working with chemical data and regulatory frameworks as they are thinking critically about how that information is structured, maintained, and made more accessible through technology.
