ForMotion Clinic Australia is seeking a Prosthetist with Upper limb focus to join our team.
This role is suited to an advanced clinician who combines strong prosthetic knowledge and clinical independence with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for people living with limb difference.
About the Role
As an experienced Prosthetist, you are responsible for delivering advanced prosthetic services that support clients in achieving their identified goals and outcomes, while providing clinical leadership and professional expertise across the organisation. Responsibilities at this level are performed with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement. The clinician is expected to provide clinical leadership, advanced decision-making and support to less experienced clinicians while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes and service excellence.
While the role has a significant upper limb focus, the successful applicant will also contribute to the assessment, prescription and management of lower limb prosthetic patients, supporting a diverse and rewarding clinical caseload across our service.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assessment, prescription, fitting and review services across upper and lower limb prosthetic caseloads
- Manage complex congenital, traumatic and acquired limb difference presentations
- Provide upper limb prosthetic assessment and rehabilitation services, including body-powered, myoelectric and emerging prosthetic technologies
- Maintain broad clinical involvement in lower limb prosthetic management and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, rehabilitation physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and problem-solving to complex prosthetic presentations
- Support the evaluation and implementation of emerging prosthetic technologies and clinical approaches
- Mentor and support graduate and early career clinicians through knowledge sharing and clinical guidance
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Build strong professional relationships with referrers, hospitals, rehabilitation services and funding bodies
- Participate in professional development, education and knowledge-sharing activities across the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualification in Prosthetics and Orthotics from an Australian university or equivalent recognised qualification
- Eligible for, or holding current Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) membership
- Demonstrated prosthetic clinical experience across a broad range of patient presentations
- Experience managing upper limb prosthetic patients or a strong commitment to developing advanced expertise in this area
- Strong understanding of upper limb assessment, component selection and rehabilitation principles
- Ability to independently manage a complex clinical caseload
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-informed practice
- Current driver's licence.
