Über diese PROMIS MES Administrator Stelle bei Two95 International Inc.
Job summary
We are seeking experienced PROMIS Manufacturing Execution System (MES) professionals to support current and future PROMIS migration and deployment engagements. The role administers, configures and supports PROMIS MES environments for semiconductor, LCD, LED and solar manufacturing customers, owning the technical health of the platform end to end — the application, its underlying operating systems and databases, and the messaging and integration layers that connect it to the wider factory landscape. The role is highly hands-on and requires an engineer who can work independently, engage directly with customers and deliver reliably in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
What you will do
- Administer, configure and maintain PROMIS MES environments supporting semiconductor, LCD, LED or solar manufacturing operations.
- Support PROMIS migration and deployment activities, including environment build-out, configuration migration, data validation, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Configure PROMIS master data and factory modelling objects — process flows, routes, specifications, work orders and equipment definitions — in line with customer manufacturing requirements.
- Install, patch, upgrade and tune PROMIS application components across UNIX, Linux, OpenVMS and Windows platforms.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation for monitoring, housekeeping, deployments and routine administrative tasks.
- Administer and troubleshoot messaging and integration layers built on Tibco Rendezvous (RV), Tibco DMQ and Web Services interfaces between PROMIS and adjacent factory and enterprise systems.
- Write, tune and troubleshoot Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; support database administration including performance analysis, backup/restore validation and data integrity checks.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving permanent corrective actions.
- Provide production support coverage, including on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance windows, to meet agreed service levels.
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity and interface issues across servers, equipment and application tiers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, runbooks and knowledge base articles.
- Work directly with customers, factory IT, manufacturing engineering and offshore delivery teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support unit, integration, regression and user acceptance test cycles, and assist with validation and change control activities.
- Follow change management, security and compliance processes applicable to regulated manufacturing environments.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline; or an MBA with an Information Systems background.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience administering or configuring a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), specifically PROMIS, in a semiconductor, LCD, LED or solar manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, VMS (OpenVMS) and Windows server operating systems.
- Solid networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ports and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Proven shell scripting capability (Korn/Bash/C shell or DCL) for automation and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Tibco Rendezvous (RV), Tibco DMQ and Web Services (SOAP/REST) based integration.
- Practical experience with Oracle Database, including SQL, PL/SQL and troubleshooting of database-related application issues.
- Structured problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting skills in time-critical production situations.
- Willingness to provide off-hours and on-call support and to travel to customer sites as required.
What will give you an edge
- Direct semiconductor industry experience and familiarity with fab operations, WIP flow, lot tracking and yield concepts.
- Experience with PROMIS migrations, version upgrades or replatforming projects.
- Exposure to other MES platforms and the ability to map functionality across systems.
- Knowledge of equipment integration and factory automation standards such as SECS/GEM and EDA / Interface A.
- Programming or scripting in Python, Perl, C/C++ or Java for tooling and interface development.
- Experience with virtualisation, cloud infrastructure and modern deployment or CI/CD tooling.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management and tools such as ServiceNow.
- Experience working in an outsourced or multi-vendor delivery model across time zones.
