Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

Join our team as the New Product Project Manager for Low and Medium Voltage products and take ownership of New Product Introduction (NPI) across our power distribution offerings — moving new switchboard, switchgear, and skid-integrated designs from concept through prototype, listing, first article, and full production release.

This role exists because ETO manufacturers scale by turning custom one-offs into repeatable, manufacturable products. You'll own the industrialization path: design for manufacturability, tooling and fixture requirements, routing and work instruction development, listing and certification coordination, supply chain qualification, and the pilot build that proves the line can produce it at rate.

This is a builder's role. You'll work across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain with no direct reporting line over any of them, and you'll be measured on whether new products reach stable production — not on whether a prototype worked once. Your work directly impacts how fast we can energize compute from sustainable, renewable and/or stranded energy sources.

We are seeking a deeply technical professional with a proven background in product industrialization and manufacturing engineering, and a comfort operating where no process yet exists. This is a full-time position.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • New Product Introduction Programs: Own NPI program plans for new LV and MV product introductions, including stage gates, deliverables, and go/no-go criteria for production release.

  • Design for Manufacturability: Drive DFM reviews with Engineering — challenge designs on labor content, part count, standardization, and line compatibility before release.

  • Certification and Listing: Coordinate UL, ANSI/IEEE, seismic and arc-resistant certification activities, including test lab scheduling, sample builds, and documentation.

  • Production Readiness Package: Develop routings, work instructions, station layouts, tooling and fixture requirements, test procedures, and quality inspection criteria.

  • Prototype and First Article Builds: Lead pilot builds on the floor, capturing build issues, cycle times, and rework drivers, and driving corrective action into both the design and the process.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain to qualify new components and suppliers, establish sourcing for new BOM content, and validate lead times against target production rates.

  • Cost Standards: Establish target cost and labor standards for new products and validate them against actual pilot build performance. You own the accuracy of your program cost model, maintain it to the PMO reporting standard and cadence, and sign the monthly cost-to-complete position that feeds the program economics review.

  • Production Handoff: Coordinate the transition to production project management — no new product transitions until the receiving team has a complete, validated build package.

  • Strategic Change & Risk Management: Maintain the NPI portfolio schedule and report status, risk, and gate position to Power Distribution and PMO leadership.

  • Process Improvement: Feed field and factory performance data back into product improvement cycles after launch.

  • Executive Dashboard Inputs: Complete the project-level portions of the sector executive dashboard on the published cadence — schedule position, milestone status, cost and margin position, and open risk. Your inputs are what gets reported upward, so their accuracy and timeliness are yours to own.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Industry Experience — Electrical Equipment Manufacturing: Working technical knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution equipment and the standards that govern them.

  • Project Management Experience: Minimum of 5+ years managing projects or programs in manufacturing, including direct new product introduction or product industrialization ownership.

  • Bachelor of Science: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Closely related technical fields will be considered.

  • Manufacturing Process Documentation: Demonstrated experience developing production routings, work instructions, and manufacturing process documentation.

  • Certification Coordination: Experience coordinating product certification or third-party listing activities with external test labs.

  • Team Collaboration: Proven cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain without direct authority.

  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to define scope, structure, and process where none currently exists.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems like SAP or Visual; experience with Acumatica is preferred.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Hands-on experience with UL 891, UL 1558, or ANSI C37.20 series equipment development.

  • Experience introducing medium-voltage products into a facility with a primarily low-voltage manufacturing history.

  • Skid integration or packaged power system experience.

  • DFMEA, APQP/PPAP, or equivalent methodology training.

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement

  • Mental health & wellness support

  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)

  • Cell phone stipend

  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary

  • Volunteer time off

  • Global travel insurance & emergency assistance

  • Daily meals allowance

  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $120,000 -$150,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. (#INDMFG)
