YOUR ROLE

The WRX Project Manager is a mid-level project delivery professional who operates with autonomy and confidence across customer-facing and internal delivery activities. This role owns the day-to-day mechanics of Professional Services project execution including maintaining project structure, driving schedules, facilitating customer discussions, coordinating cross-functional contributors, monitoring risks, and ensuring deliverables are progressing on time. The Project Manager leads routine project calls, manages project communications, and proactively identifies issues that require escalation. 
 
As WRX continues to grow, this role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves and execute both core project management responsibilities and operational duties essential to building a new Professional Services capability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery Ownership

• Lead and facilitate routine customer-facing project meetings including status discussions, planning sessions, and progress reviews.

• Drive project schedules, maintain timeline accuracy, and ensure cross-functional contributors remain aligned to deliverables.

• Own and maintain core project governance artifacts including schedules, communication plans, deliverable trackers, and RAID logs.

• Proactively identify risks, issues, and blockers and escalate when intervention or senior decision-making is required.

• Manage day-to-day customer communications related to project progress, dependencies, and delivery alignment.

• Ensure project tasks, deliverables, and milestones remain visible, tracked, and on schedule.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate cross-functional WRX teams including engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to maintain delivery cohesion.

• Prepare and distribute structured status reports summarizing schedule, risks, accomplishments, and upcoming work.

• Ensure follow-through on action items from customer and internal meetings.

• Maintain a strong communication cadence to keep stakeholders aligned across fast-moving engagements.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

• Manage timesheet approvals and ensure accurate allocation of project hours.

• Support financial and operational visibility through burn reports, budget tracking inputs, and forecasting support.

• Maintain structured project documentation repositories including deliverables, communications, templates, and compliance materials.

• Perform version control and ensure project artifacts remain current and accessible.

• Assist in preparation for new engagements including requirements intake, planning artifacts, and project startup logistics.

WHAT YOU BRING 

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship (mandatory).

• SECRET clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.

• Approximately 5 or more years of experience managing or coordinating technical, software, engineering, or Federal contracting projects.

• Demonstrated ability to lead customer-facing project discussions and manage day-to-day delivery execution with autonomy.

• Strong capability in producing high-quality project documentation including status reports, schedules, delivery trackers, RAID logs, and meeting summaries.

• Ability to drive clarity, structure, and accountability across dynamic project environments.

• Excellent communication skills for both customer-facing and internal interactions.

• Experience operating within structured delivery frameworks and managing escalations appropriately.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Program/Project Management, or related field.

• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven Federal contracting environments.

• Willingness to travel up to ~10%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal Civilian customers.

• Experience with Federal contracting processes, deliverables, and compliance expectations.

• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).

• Project management certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or CSM (not required).
