Since 1962, Air Liquide Advanced Technologies (ALAT) affiliates are recognized for their leading expertise in gas processing (gas treatment, separation, refrigeration, liquefaction, analysis and control, storage and distribution), serving various high technology markets: space, aeronautics, marine, large scientific instruments, electronics, energy transition, and more.
Japan is one of the key pioneering countries for the deployment of those technologies and Air Liquide Advanced Technologies Japan is currently executing Projects of H2 refueling station (HRS) for passenger cars and buses, as well as diverse cryogenic (CRYO) engineering projects, with active plans to further expand its combined portfolio in both fields.

Within the division ALAT Japan is responsible for the design and the production of clean energy solutions, focusing on hydrogen infrastructure (hydrogen refueling stations for cars, buses, trucks; hydrogen production and treatment for semiconductor production) and cryogenic equipment (helium liquefaction units, helium refrigeration units, liquefied gas storage and distribution systems) for research institutes in material research, fusion and quantum computing. ALAT Japan design, produce, and sell the equipment or facilities' solutions, provide related engineering and post sale services in Japan and in Korea to external and internal customers.

As Project Manager (PM), you will have the overall management responsibility for the project from the contract award up to the successfull acceptance and close-out with the Customer.
You will manage the internal resources and coordinate the third parties, vendors and subcontractors involved in order to deliver the Project safely, on time, within the allocated budget and meeting the Contractual requirements. Your mission is the optimization of the project results by leading effective project and contract management.

職務内容

1 - During Pre-award phase

During the bidding phase, the PM may support the proposal team to develop the Project Execution Strategy and be involved in:

Reviewing the technical proposal to ensure feasibility of the scope.

Identifying the risks and propose mitigation measures.

Reviewing the preliminary project schedule.

Reviewing the cost estimation sheet to ensure mainly the consistency with scope of supply and its optimization.

Reviewing the main contract terms and conditions to highlight and reduce potential risks and exposure.

Supporting the Subsidy Team to provide inputs for applicaton.

2 - Project execution Phase

In line with the Contract stipulations and the Company Industrial Management System (IMS), the PM:

Defines the project execution plan and adjusts it as necessary during its implementation

Leads effectively the Project Team and manages the overall project activities during the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases

Anticipates and Identifies the risks and opportunities during the project execution phase, ensuring effective mitigation of the risks and formalization of the identified opportunities;

Performs regular reporting by providing reliable information on the actual project status and forecasts in coordination.

Manages the Procurement and subcontracting activities from bidding phase to Purchase Order close-out with the support of Procurement Team.

Manages the Construction activities as per the project contractual scope untill Hand-over to the Customer.

Manages the Contract with the support of the legal team.

Supports the Subsidy Team to provide inputs for applicaton and clarifications with NeV

The PM is responsible and accountable for the results of the project in terms of safety, quality, schedule and cost. He leads and engages the Project Team to achieve the Project Objectives focusing on:

Safety: Promoting the Safety culture and ensuring the compliance with the Company Industrial Management System and regulatory requirements.

Quality: Ensuring that project reviews are perfomed in due time and actions implementation are followed-up. Ensuring that quality control activities are in place for equipment / material supply and services.

Schedule: Preparing and managing the Project Schedule, taking the necessary corrective actions to meet the contractual obligations;

Cost: Monitoring the project cost, leading the negotiations with Vendors/Subcontractors and proposing mitigation measures to achieve the expected Project results

3 - Project Close-out phase

Obtains the Certificate of Acceptance from the Customer

Leads the project capitalization meeting to promote lessons learnt

Perform the Project close-out

4- Customer relationship

As the Company Representative towards the Customer and Project stakeholders, the PM manages the communication and the correspondences on the Project within the contractual requirement and participates in building / reinforcing long terms relationship by promoting the Company image.

1. Master or Bachelor in Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical, electrical Engineering or Chemistry)

2. >5 years experience in Gas / Chemical Plant Engineering

>3 years in Project Management

3. Fluent in Japanese and basic English communication skill
