The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production lines, coordinating manpower and resources, troubleshooting operational issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Working closely with the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will ensure smooth and efficient production operations while developing a skilled, motivated, and multi-skilled workforce in a high-volume, high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets in accordance with established schedules, quality requirements, and operational standards.

  • Ensure all production activities comply with established quality standards, work instructions, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities relating to products, processes, and the quality management system.
  • Initiate preventive and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified, segregated, and controlled to prevent unintended processing, delivery, or installation until the issues have been resolved.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Engineering teams to investigate defects, resolve process-related issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production operators and line leaders to achieve production, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Maintain discipline, promote teamwork, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, conduct performance appraisals, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate on-the-job training (OJT) and development activities to build a competent, multi-skilled, and autonomous workforce.
  • Develop employees' technical capabilities and encourage active participation in quality control circle (QCC) activities and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure clear communication of production priorities, work instructions, safety requirements, and operational changes across all shifts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment utilisation, workflow, and working conditions.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, minimise downtime, and improve product quality.
  • Analyse production data and operational performance to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Support equipment upgrades, process enhancements, and other initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and manufacturing capability.
  • Ensure the production floor operates in a safe, secure, and orderly manner in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Enforce workplace safety practices and ensure subordinates comply with established safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation across all production areas.
  • Ensure compliance with Thales General Security Procedures and Regulations, as well as any role-specific security requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's ISO 14001 environmental policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assist the Production Manager with special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties reasonably related to the role to support business and manufacturing objectives.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable security and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a high-volume, high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in supervising production operators and line leaders is essential.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, workflow management, and production techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned shift operations independently and achieve production targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement effective solutions.
  • Good leadership, interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to manage manpower allocation, production priorities, and operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, non-conformance control, workplace safety, and environmental management practices.
