In this role, you will be part of our production development team. Working in production development provides a chance to get a broad knowledge of our unit and products. You will lead projects that involve many internal disciplines, suppliers and be responsible for all the project phases and budget. Focusing on supporting and develop production and you will be living Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues.
How you’ll make an impact:
Participates in defining the sequence, calculating cycle times, and analyzing the work phases of production processes and products. Shares cycle time data with internal teams;
Prepares technical documentation regarding process phases and the associated methods and cycle times;
Supports production during the ramp-up phase by training indirect and direct staff;
Determines the sequence of the operational phase of a new production process to achieve target product costs and the investment budget. Ensures appropriate production methods, lead times, equipment capacity, and materials/components to support production goals;
Ensures that supply chain management (SCM) teams are provided with up-to-date process and technical documentation to support supplier evaluations and appropriate supplier agreements;
Participates in defining action plans, training relevant support and production teams, and other ancillary activities during the internal/external process and equipment commissioning
Prepares requests for proposals from suppliers for the refurbishment and modernization of machinery and equipment;
Initiates and supports improvement projects.
Your background:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical);
Experience in manufacturing and technological processes—at least 1 year;
Experience coordinating multiple teams;
Knowledge and experience working with Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC methodology;
Experience with CAD software;
Good communication skills in English—written and spoken;
Very good proficiency in the MS Office suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook);
Good understanding of organizational processes.
