Job Description

Responsibilities
Working as a Product Specialist Engineer the successful candidate will be providing high-level of technical support to the customer, field service engineers and technicians to ensure our equipments operate within specification, in-line with evolving customer requirements.


The job focus will be on our equipments, mainly on our customer site.


In this role, the person will also be in charge of the following activities:

  • Supporting escalations and on-site projects such as tool installation

  • Answering technical questions

  • Troubleshooting, and resolving complex problems via phone, email, or in person

  • Leading escalation meetings, both internally and externally

  • Managing technical reporting both internally with our factory and externally with the customer

  • Reporting customer issues, design concerns, reliability, or maintenance problems to the European and Japanese product engineering team

  • Participating on creating local procedures, BKM and on providing technical training to both field service engineer and start-up engineers

  • Working closely with other members from Tokyo Electron Europe Product Support Group by sharing experience/knowledge with purpose of enhancing the global European technical support department

Based on business needs, the candidate might support activities in France as well, as strong teamwork with the French technical support team will be needed.
Additional support, business trips or remote support for other customers across all European sites may also be occasionally required.

Travelling percentage is around 20% as aforementioned teamwork with the French team may be required.

Main skills and requirements
•    Technical Education + at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role; on technical support of complex electromechanical equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair/debugging.  Ideally within the semiconductor industry or an equivalent field
•    Extensive knowledge in mechanical/electrical engineering field or equivalent
•    Strong verbal & written communication ability
•    Strong skills in analysing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving of complex technical issues with analysis tools (e.g. 8D, 5why, Ishikawa, Kepner Tregoe…)
•    Ability to work under pressure

•    Exceptional attention to detail
•    Organisation skills and flexibility (working time)
•    Specific focus on Safety procedures, Quality, and Compliance to reach customer’s satisfaction
•    Reflect TEL values and ethics, respect TEL safety, quality, compliance, and InfoSec initiatives at all times, and look to set an example for other employees in TEE and TEL
•    IT literacy skills (MS Excel, PPT, etc)
•    Fluency in both Italian and English language is essential

Compensation

Annual gross salary starting from 38K or 44K depending on experience and skills); final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
 

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
