As a result of listening to our employees, CRC Group earned a Top Workplaces USA award three years in a row based solely on employee feedback and CRC Group is currently Great Place To Work Certified! If you want to work for a company where employees are valued and growth is encouraged, CRC Group could be the place.

CRC Group is seeking a Product Manager with relevant commercial P&C insurance experience who can work as both a strategic product thinker and a hands-on product owner. In this experienced individual contributor role, you will lead workstreams and projects, help shape product direction in partnership with the business, and work closely with engineering and design to deliver roadmap items. You will ground your decisions in user feedback and product data, translate complex insurance business needs into clear technical solutions, and communicate progress and results to stakeholders and leadership. You will also be expected to use AI as a regular part of how you work. Candidates must reside in the Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX area and be willing to be in the CRC office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Discovery

  • Contribute to roadmap prioritization in partnership with product leadership and business stakeholders
  • Distill complex insurance business needs into focused, high-impact technical strategies
  • Design and recommend complete solutions to loosely defined business challenges
  • Evaluate opportunities using user feedback, market insight, and performance data
  • Facilitate working sessions and whiteboarding to shape ideas, flows, and solutions
  • Present product performance, KPIs, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and compelling way

Delivery and Execution

  • Lead product workstreams and projects from definition through delivery, coordinating the efforts of cross-functional teams
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Partner daily with engineering and design to deliver roadmap items on time and with quality
  • Lead sprint planning, refinement, and review activities
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, scope, and risks, and communicate changes proactively
  • Develop and document new procedures and ways of working that improve controls, consistency, and delivery quality
  • Apply AI tools to everyday product work, such as drafting requirements, synthesizing feedback, analyzing data, and streamlining documentation

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships across business, technology, and operations teams, as well as external vendors and partners
  • Gather requirements, manage expectations, and align stakeholders on priorities and trade-offs
  • Keep stakeholders informed with consistent, transparent updates

Data and Measurement

  • Define success metrics for features and initiatives
  • Build and maintain dashboards that track product KPIs
  • Use analytics, user research, and feedback to validate decisions and drive iteration
  • Report on outcomes and recommend next steps

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a similar role
  • 4 years of experience in the insurance industry (wholesale, brokerage, carrier, MGA, or insurtech), with working knowledge of workflows such as submissions, quoting, binding, or policy administration
  • Deep understanding of product management and adjacent areas such as business analysis, technology delivery, and insurance operations
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting clearly and persuasively, explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences and business needs to engineers.
  • Proven ability to design solutions to ambiguous or undefined problems
  • AI-savvy, with a habit of using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) in day-to-day product tasks such as drafting stories or synthesizing customer feedback
  • Proven ability to work in both strategic and execution-focused modes
  • Hands-on experience with a ticketing system (Jira or Azure DevOps), a whiteboarding tool (Miro or Figma), and an analytics tool, including building dashboards and reporting on product KPIs
  • A data-driven approach, using user feedback or product metrics to guide decisions
  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams, managing stakeholders and timelines, and presenting metrics to leadership
  • Ability to build relationships and manage competing interests across multiple teams, including external vendors
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative, with a track record of working well across engineering, design, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform
