How you'll make impact

Embedded Finance is a significant growth opportunity for Airwallex and the broader financial industry. You'll shape the product strategy and lead the teams building the capabilities that make sophisticated financial infrastructure accessible to customers and partners.

• Own the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airwallex’s Embedded Finance portfolio, spanning embedded payments, financial accounts, cards, treasury services, and global money movement.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, creating a culture of ownership, product quality, customer focus, and continuous learning.

• Identify opportunities to expand how customers and partners use Airwallex’s financial infrastructure, balancing platform investments with immediate customer and business needs.

• Partner with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Partnerships, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Executive Leadership to deliver scalable products and align complex stakeholder groups.

• Use customer insights, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and data to set priorities, establish success metrics, and measure customer and business outcomes.

• Shape company strategy through a deep understanding of customer needs, market opportunities, and the evolving embedded finance ecosystem.

• Act as a thought partner to senior leadership on platform strategy, ecosystem growth, and the future direction of Airwallex’s financial infrastructure products.

You'll work from our San Francisco office three days a week.

What we're looking for

Essentials

• 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience leading product teams in high-growth technology or fintech environments.

• A proven track record of defining and scaling successful platform, infrastructure, payments, fintech, or ecosystem products.

• The ability to connect customer needs, technical capabilities, and business objectives into a clear product vision.

• Deep customer empathy and strong product intuition, with a passion for creating simple, elegant experiences that solve meaningful customer problems.

• Proven success with API or platform integrations and technical go-to-market launches.

• A strong analytical and commercial mindset, with experience making data-informed decisions and prioritising high-impact opportunities.

• Comfort working across multiple time zones, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• A strong record of academic achievement from a highly respected university.

Preferred

• Experience in Embedded Finance, Banking-as-a-Service, Payments, Treasury, Cards, Financial Infrastructure, Platform Products, APIs, or Developer Platforms.

• Experience building products for businesses, software platforms, marketplaces, or ecosystem partners.

• Experience operating in global markets and navigating regulatory, operational, and technical complexity at scale.

As software, AI, and emerging technology reshape financial services, you'll have the chance to rethink familiar problems and build entirely new capabilities. As a Product Manager, you'll own solutions from discovery through delivery, working closely with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance to balance customer needs with technical, operational, and regulatory realities.
