Requirements
One Product, Two Operating Models
Fund managers want to issue, service and distribute traditional and tokenised funds through a single platform. As a Product Analyst, you'll help define how core fund processes work in both models: how an investor subscribes, how units are recorded and transferred, how settlement happens and how compliance checks apply, whether the register sits in a traditional system or on a blockchain.
You'll work alongside senior Product Managers and Business Analysts, turning research and requirements into clear, structured product definitions. You won't need to be an expert in both worlds. We want solid grounding in one, a working understanding of the other, and the curiosity to connect them.
What You'll Do
- Map processes across both models. Subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, switches, distributions and register maintenance, showing where traditional and tokenised flows differ, overlap or need to connect.
- Define the product. Turn business needs, client feedback and regulatory requirements into clear Epics and product specifications that work for both models.
- Document clearly. Produce process maps (BPMN or similar) and supporting documentation that engineering, delivery and client teams can rely on.
- Research the market. Track regulation, market developments and competitor offerings in fund servicing and tokenisation, and summarise what they mean for the product.
- Support the product team. Help senior Product Managers keep the backlog current and prepare materials for delivery teams.
- Work with Business Analysts to break Epics into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Join the delivery cycle. Take part in cross-functional workshops, in-sprint reviews and testing, and feed what you learn back into requirements.
- Keep standards consistent with ZILO's product development framework.
- Strong in One World, Learning the Other
- We expect you to be stronger on one side than the other. Tell us which, and how you've been building up the other. The overlap is where the work is.
Traditional funds
How funds are serviced today
- The fund dealing cycle: orders, NAV, cut-offs and settlement
- Investor registers, transfers and distributions
- Investor onboarding, KYC and AML checks
- Exposure to transfer agency, fund administration, custody or wider asset servicing
- Awareness of UCITS and AIF structures, ideally in Ireland or Luxembourg
Where they meet
The bridging skill
- Comparing a traditional and an on-chain version of the same process
- Spotting where controls, timing or data ownership change
- Explaining the trade-offs to operations, engineering and clients
- Defining requirements that let both models run in one product
Digital assets
How tokenisation changes that
- Blockchain basics: tokens, wallets, public and permissioned networks, and what a smart contract does
- Tokenised funds, real-world assets and on-chain cash such as stablecoins
- DeFi concepts that affect fund servicing: on-chain settlement, delivery-versus-payment, self-custody and transfer restrictions
- Awareness of MiCA and the EU DLT Pilot Regime
- No coding required
