Our Procurement Managed Services team works as an extension of clients’ procurement functions, delivering repeatable, high-quality sourcing services within agreed operating procedures and service levels. As a graduate intern, you will support an outsourced procurement sourcing team serving client stakeholders and suppliers across a range of spend categories. You will gain practical exposure to the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle while developing the analytical, commercial, technology and relationship skills needed for a career in procurement. 

What you will do:

• Support sourcing projects from intake and requirements clarification through market analysis, supplier engagement, bid evaluation, recommendation and handover. 

• Conduct supplier and market research, gather category intelligence, identify potential suppliers and support supplier pre-qualification and onboarding. 

• Prepare and administer requests for information and proposals, including sourcing documentation, bidder communications, timelines and clarification logs. 

• Cleanse and analyse spend, pricing and supplier data; compare bids; develop evaluation packs; and support identification and tracking of savings and other value opportunities. 

• Coordinate meetings, actions and approvals with client stakeholders, suppliers and internal team members, escalating risks or delays promptly. 

• Maintain accurate sourcing pipelines, trackers, repositories, supplier records, audit trails and management reports using client and firm systems. 

• Support negotiation preparation, contracting handovers, supplier performance activities and continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals. 

• Deliver work in line with procurement policies, delegated authorities, confidentiality requirements, agreed service levels and quality standards. 

• Understand the procurement system to support the team as a system super user to reduce the administrative requirements on the sourcing specialists. 

• Support the project management team with building and maintaining tracking tools.

Requirements: 

An undergraduate degree (an honours degree will be advantageous) in a relevant field such as: 

• Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Logistics 

• Business Management, Commerce, Economics or Finance 

• Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or other Engineering disciplines 

• Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics or Statistics 

Skills and attributes: 

• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and data accuracy. 

• Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to work professionally with client stakeholders and suppliers. 

• Ability to organise multiple activities, meet deadlines and work effectively within structured processes and service levels. 

• Curiosity about procurement, supplier markets, commercial value and technology-enabled service delivery. 

• Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to data visualisation, e-sourcing or procurement systems is advantageous. 

• A collaborative, ethical and client-focused approach, with respect for confidentiality and procurement governance.
