Job Summary
Please note: This position is posted in a range and an offer will be made based on the candidate's qualifications.Responsible to Nuclear Generation for assuring that all procedures used by Maintenance, Operations, and all applicable departments, meet the requirements of I&M, AEPSC, and Regulatory Agencies policies and procedures.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Write and develop new procedures and changes to existing procedures as assigned.
- Review plant documents for procedure impact.
- Coordinate with other departments and organizations during procedure development and revision process.
- Maintain associated procedure databases and records.
- Participate in benchmarking and self-assessment plans.
- Investigate and provide responses to condition reports assigned to the procedure section.
- Perform other procedure-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Procedure Writer/ SG 7, Salary Range: $87K - $109K
Education:
- Associate degree in business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
Work Experience:
- Or experience as follows; 6 years in a nuclear facility to include 4 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.
Procedure Writer, Sr/ SG 8, Salary Range: $98K - $128K
Education:
- Associate degree in business, or Engineering/Nuclear Technology.
Work Experience:
- Or experience as follows; 8 years in a nuclear facility to include 6 years technical experience and 2 years as a procedure/technical writer.
Other Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong process improvement/analytical skills
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.

$87,633.00 - $128,688.00The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
