The Product Compliance Requirements Analyst for Diligent Entities will support the US compliance angle of the market-leading entity management solution. Working closely with the Principal Product Compliance Advisor, this role is responsible for translating US corporate compliance requirements into clear, actionable product requirements. The Analyst will focus on delivery: breaking down complex or ambiguous compliance problems into discrete, actionable requirements, running discovery, and producing detailed documentation the Product and Engineering teams can build against. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role rather than a strategic or external-facing one, with daily engagement across Product Management, Engineering, customers, and Customer Success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Principal Product Compliance Advisor in ensuring Diligent Entities meets US corporate compliance requirements.
- Conduct discovery on US corporate compliance and filing requirements, breaking findings down into identifiable, actionable elements.
- Gather, document, and maintain detailed product requirements for US compliance-related features and changes.
- Translate regulatory and legislative detail into requirements that Product Managers and Engineering can act on and prioritise. Initially the successfully candidate will focus on US requirements, and the remit may expand to other jurisdictions over time.
- Track changes in US corporate compliance rules and filing requirements, flagging impacts to Diligent Entities.
- Work day-to-day with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success teams, and customers directly to validate requirements and support delivery.
- Work directly within Diligent Entities to validate requirements against real platform behavior, drawing on hands-on product experience.
- Provide the US compliance perspective to internal stakeholders (Customer Success, Support, Training, Sales) as needed.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years' experience as a corporate paralegal, either in a corporate environment or for a professional services organization.
- Certified Paralegal (e.g. NALA CP or equivalent) — required.
- Demonstrable knowledge of US corporate compliance, including registered agent requirements, UCC filings, foreign qualification, and SEC filings.
- Proficient user of Diligent Entities — required.
- Strong requirements-gathering and discovery skills — able to break down ambiguous problems into clear, actionable requirements.
- Experience writing detailed product requirements documents.
- Comfortable working in a delivery-focused capacity, executing against direction rather than setting strategic direction.
- Passionate about technology as an enabler of legal and corporate secretarial operations, with a genuine motivation to challenge the status quo of how corporate secretarial work is done.
- Good written communication skills; able to translate compliance detail for a product/technical audience.
- US-based; East Coast preferred.
