As a Senior Associate in Pricing Technology - Pricing Science, you will engage directly with clients to enhance their pricing strategies and profitability within our Customer Consulting practice. You will leverage your skills to analyze complex pricing models and deliver tailored solutions that drive commercial success. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client relationships, navigating complex situations, and mentoring junior team members. You will use your problem-solving skills to anticipate client needs and deliver quality solutions, while growing your personal brand and technical skills.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports client engagements by utilizing advanced methodologies and technology resources. Responsibilities

Design and development of statistical and algorithmic pricing models including value-based pricing, elasticity modeling, price waterfall analysis, and customer/segment-level optimization.

Configuration and extension of Pricefx using Groovy scripting to operationalize pricing science outputs into executable price rules, guardrails, discount structures, and approval workflows.

Build and deployment of pricing KPI frameworks (realized price, win-rate vs. discount, margin waterfall, price variance) with supporting analytics and dashboard enablement.

Integration of AI/ML-assisted pricing use cases—deal guidance, anomaly detection, segmentation signals—within governed pricing workflows.

What You Must Have

5 - 8 years experience

MBA in Sales / Marketing / Strategy / Analytics from a premier B-School; OR

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from a Tier 1 institution with equivalent quantitative and pricing experience.
Pricing Science & Quantitative Modeling: Elasticity modeling, value-based pricing, cost-plus and dynamic pricing frameworks, price waterfall construction, customer and segment profitability analysis, deal scoring and discount optimization.

Pricefx Platform: Hands-on configuration experience including Groovy-based scripting for pricing logic, workflows, discount guardrails, price list management, agreement constructs, and UI behaviors.

Revenue Growth Management: Price-volume-mix analysis, channel and customer pricing, rebate/incentive structures, trade spend effectiveness, net revenue optimization.

Data & Analytics: Analytical model design, statistical inference, data preparation for pricing decisions, KPI definition and validation, and insight generation for commercial stakeholders.

AI/ML in Pricing: Awareness of AI-assisted deal guidance, anomaly detection on price changes and margin leakage, segmentation-driven discounting, and elasticity signal generation.

What Sets You Apart

-Pricing Model Design & Science

Experience designing and implementing pricing models across B2B and/or B2C enterprise clients.

Ability to construct and validate price waterfalls, margin bridge analysis, and segment-level pricing architectures.

Deep understanding of pricing methodology trade-offs: value-based vs. cost-plus vs. dynamic; ability to recommend fit-for-purpose approach by business context.

Experience translating pricing science outputs into business-ready rules and system-configurable logic.

Comfortable engaging commercial stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Pricing CoE) to align pricing model assumptions and output interpretation.

Pricefx Configuration & Technical Delivery

Hands-on Pricefx implementation experience with direct ownership of configuration artifacts.

Proficiency in Groovy scripting to deliver pricing logic, workflows, validations, calculations, and data transformations within Pricefx.

Ability to build and maintain pricing procedures: discount guardrails, approval flows, price list logic, segmentation models, and rebate/agreement constructs.

Practical experience with CI/CD execution for Pricefx delivery assets (scripts, configuration artifacts, deployment automation) across Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environments.

Familiarity with Git-based version control and pipeline-as-code practices.

Ability to independently deliver medium-complexity configurations with limited supervision; identify edge cases and propose configuration alternatives.

Analytics & KPI Enablement

Design, development, and validation of pricing KPIs including realized price, win-rate vs. discount, margin waterfall, price variance, and rebate effectiveness.

Data preparation and cleaning from ERP/CRM/TPM exports to feed pricing models and analytics outputs.

Experience with BI and analytics platforms: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.

Working proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis, model prototyping, and pricing logic validation.

Delivery Execution

Participate in client discovery sessions, requirement refinement workshops, and solution design reviews.

Translate functional pricing requirements into working Pricefx configurations and analytics outputs.

Execute unit testing; support SIT/UAT cycles; manage defect triage and resolution.

Support deployment, cutover, and hypercare activities; troubleshoot configuration and production data issues.

Provide effort estimates for assigned user stories; mentor Associates/Analysts on configuration and model design best practices.
