Barbaricum is seeking a Electrical/ Electronics Engineer IV to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM) opportunity. Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains — with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As an Electrical/Electronics Engineer IV, you will provide senior hardware engineering across the assembly, repair, test, and disposition of mechanical and electronic assemblies supporting EMSO and electronic warfare systems. You will isolate faults on fielded and developmental systems, provide technical input to Government engineering and programmatic staff, and develop training materials that enable execution of models, simulations, and analysis. This role blends bench-level hardware depth with the communication skill to instruct and advise across a joint stakeholder community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot applicable systems and isolate faults to the component and subsystem level (SOW 4.6.1.3).
  • Assemble, repair, test, and disposition mechanical assemblies and associated equipment.
  • Provide technical input and advice to Government programmatic and engineering personnel; support systems in the field, at test facilities, and in the fleet.
  • Operate discipline-specific test, troubleshooting, and operational equipment/software as specified in Technical Instructions (TIs).
  • Analyze test data and documentation against requirements and specifications, and apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
  • Develop training materials and deliver instruction supporting execution of models, simulation, and statistical/analytical analysis (SOW 4.6.9).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant electrical/electronics engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and to assemble, repair, test, and disposition mechanical and electronic assemblies.
  • Strong technical communication skills across written and verbal media.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
  • Master's or Doctorate degree.
  • Experience with RF/EW hardware, electronic test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, amplifiers), and system integration.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training in a DoD environment.
  • Prior NSWC Crane or Navy electronic warfare / EMSO hardware experience.
