FIGS · Vor Ort · Santa Monica, CA

We’re looking for a highly organized, solutions-oriented Post-Production Project Manager, Photo to oversee the end-to-end photo post-production workflow across our Retouching Team.

Sitting within Brand Operations, this role will serve as the central liaison between Retouching, Project Management, Art Direction, Design, Production and internal and external partners. This person will own retouching operations, resource planning, timelines, agency coordination and digital asset management, ensuring assets move efficiently from capture through retouching, approval, delivery and archival.

The ideal candidate understands both the creative and operational sides of post-production and can anticipate bottlenecks, establish scalable workflows and provide visibility across all active campaigns and launches.

What You’ll Do

Post-Production & Retouching Operations

  • Own the end-to-end post-production workflow across eCommerce, campaign, editorial, retail, social and marketing photography.
  • Manage projects from photography handoff through retouching, approvals, final delivery and archival.
  • Build schedules aligned with campaign and launch calendars while maintaining visibility across all active workstreams.
  • Ensure assets are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with creative and brand standards.

Capacity & Resource Planning

  • Maintain a centralized view of internal retoucher, freelancer and agency workloads.
  • Forecast resource needs based on upcoming shoots, launches and asset volume.
  • Balance assignments across internal and external resources based on complexity, timing and capacity.
  • Identify bottlenecks early and recommend additional resources or priority adjustments when needed.
  • Ensure high-priority projects do not unintentionally compromise other active workstreams.

Timeline & Dependency Management

  • Establish post-production milestones, handoff dates and delivery expectations for every project.
  • Track dependencies including image selects, shot lists, retouching notes, creative direction, product information and approvals.
  • Follow up with upstream teams and escalate late inputs that may affect delivery.
  • Partner with stakeholders to adjust scope, resources, priorities or timing when schedules become compressed.
  • Ensure post-production needs are considered during initial project planning.

Cross-Functional Project Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for photo post-production across Creative and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Art Directors, Producers, Photographers, Project Managers, Marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Establish clear ownership of selects, retouching notes, asset preparation, approvals and delivery.
  • Create visibility across Project Managers so the full post-production workload can be evaluated holistically.
  • Communicate project status, risks, priorities and resource needs to creative leadership.
  • Keep retouchers focused on skilled creative work by minimizing unnecessary administrative tasks.

Retouching & Agency Management

  • Manage work across internal retouchers, freelancers and external agencies.
  • Determine which projects should remain in-house or be outsourced based on creative complexity, volume, timing and capacity.
  • Coordinate agency handoffs, including selects, briefs, references, retouching notes and delivery expectations.
  • Track progress, revisions, approvals, final delivery and external partner utilization.
  • Support the onboarding and management of new post-production partners.

Digital Asset Management

  • Own the organization and lifecycle of creative assets from ingestion through delivery and archival.
  • Establish and maintain file naming conventions, folder structures, metadata, taxonomy and version control standards.
  • Ensure approved assets are uploaded, tagged, organized and searchable within Dropbox and GlobalEdit.
  • Maintain clear distinctions between working files, review files, approved masters and final deliverables.
  • Manage outdated, duplicate or incorrect versions to prevent improper asset use.
  • Oversee asset permissions, access and distribution across internal teams and external partners.
  • Partner with Creative, Marketing, eCommerce and other teams to make assets easy to locate and use.
  • Maintain records of campaign associations, product information, usage rights and expiration dates where applicable.
  • Establish archival standards and support the cleanup, migration and optimization of existing asset libraries.
  • Serve as a key resource for questions about asset location, availability, organization and usage.

Workflow & Process Optimization

  • Build scalable workflows connecting photography, retouching, digital asset management and final distribution.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, briefing tools, tracking systems and documentation.
  • Identify inefficient manual processes and implement improved solutions.
  • Evaluate automation and AI-assisted opportunities across post-production and asset management.
  • Continuously improve communication and handoffs across Creative, Production, Retouching, Project Management and downstream teams.

Quality Control & Final Delivery

  • Ensure assets complete all required creative and technical approvals before release.
  • Partner with retouching leadership to maintain consistent quality across internal and external work.
  • Confirm final assets meet channel specifications and maintain version control through revisions.
  • Ensure approved assets are properly delivered and archived.
  • Identify recurring quality or workflow issues and implement preventative solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in creative project management, post-production, photography production, retouching operations, digital asset management or a related field.
  • Experience managing high-volume creative asset pipelines across multiple simultaneous campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of photography, retouching, post-production and digital asset workflows.
  • Experience with DAM platforms, metadata, taxonomy, naming conventions, version control and archival practices.
  • Experience managing freelancers, agencies and external creative partners.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance creative priorities with operational requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high creative standards.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and develop solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within fashion, apparel, lifestyle, beauty, retail or consumer brands.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop-based post-production workflows.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, Smartsheet or Wrike.
