We are seeking a Plant Operator who will be responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing MSKCC Outpatient Facilities building and physical plant machinery/equipment in accordance with required engineering practice.

Role Overview:

• Inspect, test, and operate building machinery and equipment to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain, repair, replace, and install parts of the physical plant equipment.
• Maintains all documents for routine maintenance, service requests and inventory per department policies.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service when responding to requests and inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure workspace while properly caring for tools and equipment.
• Ensure the safety of employees and visitors by protecting MSKCC buildings, assets, and premises.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards set by institutional and regulatory bodies.

Key Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.

• Collaborative and team-oriented with a focus on shared goals.
• Adaptable to changing situations and demands.
• FDNY Q-01 Refrigerating System Operating Engineer certification required.
• Relevant NYC certifications Preferred: A35, S12, S13, P98, B29, F60, G60 (all required within 6 months of employment)

• Schedule: Overnight shift, Tuesday–Saturday, 11:30 PM–7:30 AM.
