We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a busy pharmacy team. The successful candidate will assist with prescription processing, documentation, inventory support, and general pharmacy administration while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
The ideal candidate has previous pharmaceutical or pharmacy experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They are dependable, proactive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of prescription-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records.
- Support prescription data entry and verify information for accuracy.
- Assist with medication inventory management, stock control, and ordering.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages when necessary.
- Ensure all pharmacy documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
- Support pharmacists with administrative and operational tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all healthcare regulations.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment is essential.
- Pharmacy Assistant experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
