Position Overview:
The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys. Your expertise and organizational skills will help ensure a thorough and efficient case process for our clients who are navigating challenging moments in their lives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Document Management: Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, correspondence, and other case-related materials.
• Case File Organization: Maintain and manage active personal injury case files, ensuring all necessary documentation, records, and correspondence are accurate and up to date.
• Discovery and Evidence: Assist attorneys with the discovery process, including gathering medical records, bills, insurance information, evidence, and other case materials.
• Client Interaction: Serve as a professional and compassionate liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
• Medical Records & Bills: Request, organize, review, and maintain medical records and billing documentation relevant to personal injury claims.
• Case Management: Monitor case progress, follow up on outstanding documentation, and assist attorneys with moving cases through the appropriate stages of litigation.
• Calendar Management: Track important deadlines and manage calendars for hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and other case-related activities.
• Trial Preparation: Assist with preparing exhibits, witness materials, trial binders, and other documents necessary for hearings, mediations, and trial.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, reports, and other materials as requested by attorneys.
• Attorney Support: Provide administrative and substantive support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury cases.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred; paralegal certification is a plus.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
• Personal Injury Experience: Strong familiarity with personal injury claims, medical records, insurance claims, discovery, litigation procedures, and case management.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and assignments simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, attorneys, and other team members.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
• Team-Oriented: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment while maintaining a strong commitment to client service.
• Location: Candidates located in or around Seattle, Washington are preferred.
