Job Summary

The Director, People Business Partner will be a strategic partner to our go-to-market function (Customer Revenue organization) and leaders. This role will directly support our Global Partner organization.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team during the time of rapid transformation and building a new operating model.

As a member of the People Team, the Director, People Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders and their leadership teams to define the talent strategy, shape business objectives, build high performing teams, and optimize the organization. Leads business change and global people initiatives, and drives engagement across the organization. Leads transformational work that improves organizational effectiveness, organization design, organizational capability, and talent management. 

The People Business Partner challenges conventional thinking, cultivates a values-driven culture, and champions innovation by integrating technology, people, and process. Brings deep HR and business expertise with a strong focus on delivering business value, designing agile people-centric solutions, enabling new ways of working, and creating meaningful enterprise impact. 

Responsibilities 

• Partner directly with senior go-to-market leaders to build and execute the people strategies that accelerate business performance
• Lead complex organizational transformations associated with growth, restructuring, and new operating models, owning implementation plans and ensuring agreed actions are followed through
• Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and talent strategy
• Build the annual talent plan, using data, market insights, and business context to forecast workforce risks, opportunities, and the people changes needed to influence executive decision making
• Drive strategies that strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, employee engagement, and culture, and facilitate leader-led action planning on engagement, organization health, and workforce metrics
• Partner across Integrated Talent Solutions, Total Rewards, Workforce Insights, and People Experience, and champion a strong service delivery model across the broader People Team, to deliver on the talent strategy
• Coach executives and leadership teams through change, ambiguity, and organizational growth
• Anticipate future talent and capability needs in a rapidly evolving technology landscape, including AI-enabled ways of working
• Influence outcomes through credibility, business acumen, and strong relationships rather than formal authority
• Role models Equinix values and the attributes of the desired culture—fostering inclusion, trust, and a growth mindset—and drives culture transformation through leadership

Qualifications 

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner supporting executive leaders
• Experience supporting a global Go-to-Market organization, preferably with a specific focus on a Sales or Channel organization
• Proven experience supporting leaders at the Executive level, preferably in go-to-market functions 
• Experience leading a large-scale and complex transformations within large global organizations 
• Experience leading organizational design, change management, and organizational effectiveness preferred  
• Experience with change management, executing of global HR programs   
• Excellent ability to source, synthesize and interpret data and context to tell a story and influence decision makers  
• Broad depth of experience across all HR concentrations   
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action and solutions in line with business goals 

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 213,000 - 319,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
