現在、東京拠点の知的財産（IP）チームにてIP Search Analyst/Consultantを募集しています。本ポジションは、特許調査およびアナリティクスサービスを通じてクライアントの知的財産に関する法的・ビジネス上の意思決定を支援し、効率的かつスケーラブルなオペレーション提供と継続的改善を通じて、クライアントのコスト削減に貢献する役割です。チームは7名で構成され、IP部門のPatent Search & Analyticsのマネージャーにレポートラインがあります。特許調査・分析のご経験をお持ちの方とぜひお話できればと思います。

職務内容

• 技術面および知的財産の観点から顧客の課題とニーズを理解し、クラリベイトの専門サービス能力とデータベースを最大限に活用して最適なソリューションを見つけ出し、それらを統合した上で、魅力的で効率的かつ強力な提案を作成する。 
• プロジェクトを管理、主導、実行し、プロジェクトメンバーを指導・推進することで、設定された期限と予算内で顧客に最良の結果をもたらす。
• データ集約型の分析作業を実施し、データ分析結果から洞察を抽出し、レポートを作成したり成果物を作成したりした後、主に日本、そしてアジア太平洋地域の顧客に対して説得力のあるプレゼンテーションを行う。
• 特許検索チームと緊密に連携し、特許検索と知的財産分析を専門とする知的財産サービスチームと協力して、付加価値の高い成果物を作成する。
• Clarivateのデータベースを基盤とした新しいサービスと新しい分析手法を開発する。

本チームは、日本のIPサービス部門に属し、企業、法律事務所、アカデミア、政府機関などのグローバルクライアントに対して特許調査および分析サービスを提供しています。クライアント対応の最前線で、複雑なプロジェクトを遂行しながら、品質・正確性・納期を重視し、密に連携して業務を進めています。

本ポジションは、経験豊富でコンパクトなチームに加わり、シニアメンバーの退職後も高いデリバリー品質を維持し、組織の継続性を支える重要な役割を担います。

勤務時間
フルタイムポジションです。基本的にはご自身のタイムゾーンにおけるコア営業時間での勤務となりますが、必要に応じてグローバル拠点の時間に合わせて柔軟に対応いただきます。

We are looking for IP Search Analyst/Consultant to join our Intellectual Property (IP) team in Tokyo. This role responsible for providing patent search and analytics services to our clients to assist them in answering both legal and business-related questions related to Intellectual Property (IP) and reduce the cost of their own operations through strong and scalable operational delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement. The team consists of 7 team members reporting to the Manager, Patent Search & Analytics the IP division. We would love to speak with you if you have experience within patent search and analysis.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• English proficiency: business experience in English, business-level conversational English
• Project management experience: consulting projects (e.g., bid or large-scale projects), experience outside IP is also acceptable
• Research experience: policy, regulatory, and business research
• Consulting delivery work: requirements definition, data collection and processing, report preparation, and presentations
• Technical background: engineering-related (specific field not required)

What will you be doing in this role?

• Understand customers’ pain points and needs from technology and IP perspective, find the best-fit solution by fully utilizing Clarivate’s professional service capabilities and DB, integrating them, and then develop an attractive, efficient and strong proposal. 
• Manage, lead and execute projects, delivering the best results to the customer within the set deadlines and budget by exercising leadership to project members and driving them.
• Conduct data intense analytical works and extract insights from the result of data analytics, compose report or create deliverables and then make strong presentations to customers mainly in Japan, but also in APAC.
• Work closely with Patent Search team, which is a fellow team of IP services specialized in patent search and IP analytics to create highly value-added deliverables.
• Develop new service and new analysis method base on Clarivate’s DBs

About the Team  

The team is part of the IP Services Japan group, specializing in patent search and analytics for global clients across corporates, law firms, academia, and government institutions. They work in a high-impact, client-facing environment, delivering complex projects while collaborating closely to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

This role will join a lean, experienced team, playing a key part in maintaining delivery standards and supporting continuity following a senior team member’s departure.

Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
