Great hospitality is all about the details — and fresh baked goods, pastries, breads, and desserts help create memorable experiences for our guests every day. As a Baker, you’ll play an important role in bringing those experiences to life through high-quality baked creations prepared with care, consistency, and creativity.
This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about baking, enjoys working in a fast-paced culinary environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food presentation and quality. From breakfast pastries and artisan breads to desserts, banquet items, and specialty baked goods, you’ll help create products that elevate the guest experience across the hotel.

What you’ll be doing
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, breakfast items, and specialty baked goods for hotel restaurants, banquets, catering events, and guest services.
- Follow recipes, production schedules, portioning guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Measure, mix, proof, bake, decorate, and finish baked products while maintaining high culinary and food safety standards.
- Support daily bakery and pastry kitchen operations including ingredient preparation, inventory organization, and workstation setup.
- Assist with dessert plating, banquet preparation, buffet displays, and seasonal baked offerings as needed.
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels and communicate ordering or supply needs to culinary leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout bakery and kitchen work areas.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and properly including mixers, ovens, proofers, slicers, and decorating tools.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, HACCP guidelines, and health department requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Pastry Chefs, Sous Chefs, and culinary teams to support smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.
- Help create visually appealing, fresh, and high-quality baked products that enhance the overall guest experience.
- Support holiday programming, special events, catering functions, and custom baked requests as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What great looks like
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous baking, pastry, culinary, bakery, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality kitchen experience preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, dough production, decorating, and food presentation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in product quality and presentation.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for baking, creativity, and guest experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while managing multiple priorities and production timelines.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and HACCP guidelines preferred.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a hospitality environment.
- A passion for hospitality, baking, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences through food.
