Part Time Special Needs Caregiver (Autism Experience Required) – Hiram, GA

A welcoming family in Hiram, GA is seeking a caring, dependable female caregiver for their verbal 14-year-old daughter with autism and epilepsy. Mom is a teacher with the local school district, and dad works from home on Mondays and Fridays. The family is looking for long-term support with school pickups and afternoon engagement in a safe, nurturing environment.

Schedule:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• 12 hours per week

Family Specifications:

• Pet-free home
• Support needed while parents finish their workdays

Responsibilities:

• Pick child up from school and transport her safely home
• Prepare afternoon snacks and engage in social activities
• Attend to general afternoon needs with minimal personal care required

Requirements:

• Proven experience supporting individuals with autism
• Valid Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle for school transportation

Preferred:

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience is a major plus
• Seeking a warm caregiver who can provide positive social interaction
• Experience with seizure management and response

Compensation:

• $15 – $17 per hour (willing to pay higher for the right candidate)
