Job Description:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2+ years of previous mechanical maintenance experience
- 2+ years of experience working with calipers, bore gauges and micrometers
- 1 year or more of data entry work experience
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- A&P license is preferred but is not required
Role and Responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate landing gear components to locate any damage
- Read and interpret technical data and blueprints
- Follow instructions per the component maintenance manuals (CMM)
- Utilize specified tools and materials such as various measuring equipment including manual and digital measuring equipment
- Some grinding of parts
- Use of a computer or other electronic device to record data and work performed
- Maintain an organized workspace
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in the English language; writing, reading and speaking
- Basic Computer Literacy
- Microsoft Office Suite at a beginning to intermediate skill level
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Basic arithmetic
- Coordination
- Critical thinking
- Manual dexterity
- Arm-hand steadiness
- Near vision
- Flexibility to work any shift including evenings and weekends as necessary to meet deadlines
- This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
- Must Successfully complete a comprehensive background check
