Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Statutory Lines Insurance team in Melbourne working with James Johnson.

About the team and the work

• We rarely have roles come up in this specialised team given the breadth and depth of work on offer and the genuine collaborative and cohesive team culture.

• As a Paralegal, you will support our lawyers across Commonwealth jurisdictions, working with self-insurers and Government agencies on statutory issues, claims management and litigation matters.

• This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to administrative law, statutory schemes and litigation in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

• You will join an established and reputable team who will support your professional development while you work on complex and diverse matters.

About you

• You are currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (or combined law degree) and are in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of study.

• You have a strong academic record and a genuine interest in litigation, administrative law and insurance law.

• Available to commit to a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week on an ongoing basis, with flexibility around university timetables, exams, and study commitments.

• To be successful, you will be collaborative, proactive and highly organised, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
