About the role
The Hub Operations Lead is the operational backbone of the delivery hub within our Projects and Development space at JLL. This role ensures that the hub runs effectively as a business unit, that projects are properly resourced, governed, and commercially managed and that the Director has the operational visibility needed to manage performance and meet financial targets.
The Hub Operations Lead leverages technology appropriately, designing and implementing improved workflows with clear, tangible benefit, guiding teams towards practical tools and avoiding technology for technology's sake. This is not a delivery role but an enabling one, success is measured by whether the hub is resourced correctly, governance is working, data is reliable, and the Director can make good decisions because they are given good information.
The Hub Operations Lead leads collaborative problem solving across hubs, working closely with other operations leads, market leads, and project delivery teams towards aligned goals.
Day to day responsibilities
- Maintain a current and forward-looking view of resource capacity and project demand across the full hub geography, matching onshore and JBS capacity to project requirements
- Use Salesforce/Certinia as the primary pipeline visibility mechanism, owning hub-wide pipeline data quality and ensuring standards are maintained across Market Leads
- Identify resourcing constraints or surpluses early and escalate to the Director with a recommended response
- Coordinate resourcing across Market Leads within the hub, arbitrating competing demands and identifying cross-market or cross-hub solutions where required
- Coordinate with the Client Solutions Team (CST) to ensure growth-originated pipeline is accurately reflected without duplication
- Maintain awareness of hub revenue targets, margin expectations, and key financial drivers, ensuring resourcing decisions are made with reference to commercial impact
- Support the Director in preparing hub financial reporting by providing accurate operational data
- Oversee compliance with JLL's project delivery framework, HSSE requirements, and governance standards across all markets
- Conduct and coordinate project reviews, health checks, and audits, maintaining hub-level registers of project risk, commercial exposure, and compliance status
- Manage day-to-day utilisation of JBS resources allocated to the hub, monitoring output quality and identifying opportunities to increase utilisation
- Provide regular operational reporting to the Director, resourcing, governance, and pipeline status
- Innovate and seek continuous improvement, design and implement improvements and solutions where friction is identified
- Foster a culture that is commercially rigorous, client-focused, and people-positive, holding direct reports accountable through clear expectations and honest feedback
- Support the identification, development, and retention of talent, including building succession depth
- Build and maintain relationships with national leaders across other JLL business lines to facilitate cross-referral and joint client engagement
Key Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project/construction management, operations, or programme governance, with demonstrated ability to run a business unit operationally
- Commercially literate, understands P&L drivers, margin management, and the link between resourcing decisions and financial outcomes
- Experience with resource planning, workforce management, or equivalent capacity management in a professional services or construction environment
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Certinia, or equivalent project and pipeline management systems
- Strong data discipline and analytical capability, able to synthesise resourcing and pipeline data into clear operational recommendations
- Collaborative and enabling operating style
- HSEQ governance experience and understanding of project delivery frameworks
- Experience working with offshore or blended delivery teams (JBS or equivalent) is an advantage
