Über diese Occupational Therapist | Adult Rehab and NDIS Stelle bei Mediix
A local clinic feel, with a national team behind you
Many OTs have to pick between the personal feel of a small clinic and the learning and career structure of a big organisation. This role gives you both. You’d work in a community-facing practice where you know your clients and colleagues. You’d also belong to a large allied health network that invests in its clinicians, with mentoring, regular learning and clear steps for growth.
The practice
- Part of an established allied health group made up of local clinics across Australia and New Zealand
- Multidisciplinary clinics, so you can refer to and learn from physios, podiatrists, exercise physiologists and hand therapists
- A focus on adult and NDIS clients, with other age groups across the wider group
- A culture that puts teamwork ahead of individual agendas, with an emphasis on honest feedback and ethical practice
- Technology that supports clinicians rather than slowing them down
What you’ll be doing
- Assessing and supporting clients to build independence in daily living, work, home and community life
- Developing practical, goal-driven therapy plans with clients, families and carers
- Writing clear reports and progress notes that stand up to NDIS and funding body scrutiny
- Working alongside other disciplines so clients get joined-up care
- Taking part in case discussions and shared learning sessions with your peers
- Helping grow the OT service within your clinic over time
What we’re looking for
- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience with adult clients, or a strong interest in building it
- Confident working with NDIS plans and goals, or keen to learn quickly with support
- A clear communicator who explains things in plain language to clients and families
- Someone who likes asking questions, sharing ideas and learning from colleagues
- New graduates through to experienced clinicians welcome, with the package matched to experience
What’s in it for you
- Ongoing mentoring from experienced clinicians
- Fortnightly learning sessions led by researchers and senior clinicians, plus practical workshops
- Special interest groups, so you can connect with OTs and other clinicians who share your interests
- Structured programs for new graduates, and leadership programs for clinicians with a few years’ experience
- An annual conference with national and international speakers
- Career progression paths into senior clinical or business leadership roles
- Recognition and reward programs
- A friendly, flexible and supportive team
- Competitive package based on experience
Location
Brisbane’s inner north, in Windsor. It’s a relaxed, leafy suburb with a train station on the doorstep, so getting to work is easy. There’s a good run of cafes and local eateries nearby, and the city is only a short trip away.
If this sounds like your kind of practice, I’d love to have a confidential chat. Reach out to Camille at camille@mediix.com.au.
