What to Expect?

The Neutralization Process Technician is responsible for safely neutralizing process chemicals that are contaminated or no longer suitable for resale. This role also includes cleaning and neutralizing returned processing containers in preparation for recycling or disposal. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the wash-down process area and supervising personnel assigned to those duties. The technician will be responsible for all neutralization pools and related operations, including pool maintenance, water control, chemical disposal, monitoring, adjusting, and balancing chemical levels. This position also requires accurate documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with company policies, as well as state and local rules and regulations.
 

On a daily basis our Neutralization Process Technician:

• Maintains water quality going in and out of the plant as part of the process (production rooms drain flushing).
• Makes sure water flow to all rooms is sufficient and water quality is within established guideline. 
• Ensures all pumps and pools to be maintained in a clean and operating state as required.
• Monitors poll levels water quality and dispose of as needed and prudent with due diligence. 
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• Performs any and all responsibilities as given by supervisor.
• Provides direction, support, and supervision to the wash-down process operator in the assigned area.
• Understands the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) effectively in conjunction with the company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions along with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Understanding of basic chemical processes in an industrial environment as well as understanding wastewater operations.
• Maintain detailed documentations for company, state, and local regulations.
• Handle pails and barrels containing various materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
