Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Starting Pay: $34.67/hour — higher rates available depending on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support industrial manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, fabrication, welding, and supporting the reliability of plant equipment.
The ideal candidate is a versatile maintenance professional with strong hydraulic and electrical experience, along with mechanical, pneumatic, and welding skills.
Responsibilities
Equipment
Experience with industrial equipment such as:
- Hydraulic presses
- Conveyor systems
- Rollers
- Chains and sprockets
- Billet furnaces
- Industrial machinery and automated manufacturing equipment
Required Qualifications
- PLCs
- Motors
- Fuses
- Phase-to-phase testing
- Megohmmeters/megger
- Light curtains
- Area scanners
- Experience with pneumatics and air cylinders.
- Welding experience, including MIG and Stick welding.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to meet the physical and safety requirements of an industrial work environment.
- Safety-conscious, dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
