Are you a compliance-minded leader who knows how to turn monitoring findings into stronger systems, safer environments, and better program outcomes? Acelero Learning, South Carolina is looking for a Coordinator, Monitoring & Compliance to lead ongoing monitoring, strengthen operational practices, and partner with leaders to ensure our programs meet Head Start, licensing, and organizational requirements.

Our mission is bold: To design and deliver research and evidence-based approaches to eliminate the gaps between young children’s inherent potential and their achievement in school and life. With our partners, we accelerate child and family outcomes that honor the aspirations and cultures of the communities we serve.

Our work is grounded in five values: Data-Informed Learning, Transparent & Open Communication, Growth Mindset, Championing Equality, and Caring Teams & Communities.

The Opportunity

Acelero Learning, South Carolina is seeking a Coordinator, Monitoring & Compliance to lead ongoing monitoring and compliance efforts that support safe, high-quality, and accountable program operations. This role partners closely with Center Directors, Operations, Education, Family Services, Health and Nutrition, People, and other service-area leaders to ensure programs are meeting Head Start Program Performance Standards, state childcare licensing requirements, and organizational policies and procedures. The Coordinator will use data, observation, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving to identify compliance risks, strengthen operational practices, and support leaders in resolving findings and sustaining improvements.

What You’ll Do

Monitoring & Compliance

  • Coordinate ongoing monitoring activities, including monitoring schedules, tools, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.

  • Conduct center visits, program reviews, and record reviews to assess compliance and identify areas of risk or opportunity.

  • Ensure required licenses, permits, certifications, and compliance documentation remain current and audit-ready.

  • Coordinate follow-up related to licensing visits, monitoring reviews, audits, and other regulatory assessments.

  • Monitor accidents and incidents and ensure required reporting, documentation, and follow-up are completed.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with state licensing specialists and other regulatory partners.

Operations, Health & Safety

  • Partner with Operations and center leadership to monitor health and safety practices and compliance with licensing requirements.

  • Coordinate monthly health and safety monitoring and ensure concerns are documented, communicated, escalated, and resolved.

  • Identify immediate and recurring operational risks and coordinate timely corrective action.

  • Track corrective actions through completion and verify that solutions effectively address identified concerns.

  • Partner with the People Team to coordinate CPR and First Aid training as needed.

Corrective Action & Continuous Quality Improvement

  • Analyze monitoring findings and program data to identify trends and emerging risks across areas such as attendance, enrollment, licensing, documentation, health, and safety.

  • Partner with Center Directors and service-area leaders to develop and implement corrective action plans.

  • Prepare clear reports outlining findings, risks, required actions, responsible parties, and timelines.

  • Escalate significant or unresolved compliance concerns to appropriate leaders.

  • Support SASCIE and other continuous quality-improvement activities by helping leaders translate findings into actionable improvement plans.

  • Verify that corrective actions are effective and sustainable, not simply completed.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide technical assistance, training, and guidance to leaders and staff on compliance expectations and required practices.

  • Communicate monitoring findings, trends, risks, and corrective-action progress clearly to the Delegate Vice President and other organizational leaders.

  • Help leaders translate regulatory requirements into practical expectations for their teams and centers.

  • Support readiness for federal reviews, state licensing visits, audits, and other monitoring activities.

  • Supervise assigned personnel and provide coaching, training, performance support, and oversight of their work.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, public administration, social services, business administration, or a related field.

  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory standards and managing monitoring or corrective-action processes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, project-management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to identify systemic risks, interpret data, document findings, and translate requirements into practical operational practices.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships while maintaining appropriate accountability.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, reporting systems, and other data-management tools.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Experience in Head Start, early childhood education, program monitoring, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or childcare licensing.
