About the Role

Cogent is looking for a Mid Market Account Executive to build our business across the Northeast. You will own the full sales cycle across mid market accounts, combining a high velocity operating rhythm with thoughtful, consultative selling.

This role is for a cybersecurity seller based in New York who can create pipeline, run strong discovery, and move technical and business stakeholders from first conversation through close.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full sales cycle for new logos and expansions across a defined Northeast territory.

• Build pipeline through outbound activity you source directly, SDR partnership, marketing, channel partners, and referrals.

• Run discovery, coordinate technical evaluations, build clear ROI cases, and close deals involving multiple stakeholders.

• Manage a high level of activity while maintaining strong conversion, forecast accuracy, and CRM discipline.

• Bring customer and market insight back to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years as a quota carrying individual contributor, including 2 3+ years selling cybersecurity solutions.

• A consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota and winning new logos.

• Strong technical discovery and value selling skills across multiple stakeholders.

• Experience succeeding at a high growth startup or challenger company.

• High ownership, pace, judgment, collaboration, and willingness to travel.
