About the Role
The Medical Director, Clinical Quality will lead Tia’s clinical quality program while maintaining an active clinical practice. This role may be based at any Tia clinic within the New York City, San Francisco Bay Area, or Los Angeles markets. The position is divided equally between direct patient care and clinical quality leadership, with approximately 2.5 days per week dedicated to each.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will use clinical data and evidence to identify opportunities, improve care delivery, and strengthen quality across Tia’s markets and clinical teams. You will also serve as a strategic thought partner to the CMO and help guide the continued evolution of Tia’s care model.

You will have the ability to turn evidence and quality data into meaningful changes in clinical practice, influence the standards used by multidisciplinary care teams, and help define what high-quality, whole-person care for women should look like at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and continuously evolve Tia’s clinical quality program across markets, service lines, and care teams.
- Review clinical quality data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate quality findings into measurable improvement plans, clinical workflows, and provider education.
- Develop system-wide training and educational programs for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinical team members.
- Lead the review and ongoing maintenance of clinical policies, protocols, care pathways, and SOPs across provider and nursing practice.
- Ensure Tia’s clinical standards reflect current evidence, regulatory requirements, and the needs of its patient population.
- Partner with Clinical Operations, Analytics, Learning and Development, and other teams to implement and evaluate quality initiatives.
- Partner with Tia’s Clinical Advisory Board and its multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts in evolving Tia’s care model.
- Incorporate established and emerging evidence into Tia’s clinical standards, helping define and advance the standard of care for women.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Chief Medical Officer on clinical quality priorities and care model decisions.
- Provide direct patient care approximately 50% of the time, using frontline clinical experience to inform system-wide improvements.
What You’ll Bring
Requirements:
- MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active, unrestricted medical license and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- 5+ years of post-residency clinical experience, including experience in primary care or women’s health.
- 2+ years of experience leading or meaningfully contributing to clinical quality, patient safety, clinical education, or care model initiatives.
- Experience using clinical data to identify quality gaps and drive measurable improvements.
- Experience developing or updating clinical policies, protocols, care pathways, or SOPs.
- Ability to translate evidence and quality findings into scalable clinical education and training.
- Strong strategic judgment and ability to influence multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams.
- Ability to balance direct patient care with system-wide clinical quality leadership.
Nice to have:
- Experience leading quality initiatives across multiple locations, markets, or service lines.
- Experience in an integrated, value-based, digital health, or high-growth healthcare environment.
- Formal training or certification in healthcare quality, patient safety, clinical informatics, or medical education.
- Experience serving on or leading a clinical advisory board, quality committee, or clinical governance group.
Work Location
This role is open to candidates based in the New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles markets and may be based at any Tia clinic within one of those markets. The selected candidate’s primary clinic location will be determined based on their location and Tia’s clinical needs.
Because this role includes direct patient care approximately 50% of the time, regular in-person work at the designated Tia clinic is required. The clinical quality leadership portion of the role will support teams and initiatives across all Tia markets.
Compensation & Benefits
Tia is committed to pay equity and pay transparency. Compensation for this role will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, location, role leveling, business needs, and market conditions.
The expected compensation for this role is: $250,000 - $300,000
