Media Specialist

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Media Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to candidate where you will create engaging multimedia content, manage project media coverage, and support stakeholder communications to showcase the progress and success of major infrastructure and construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Develop, coordinate, and produce media content highlighting project progress, milestones, achievements, events, and key activities.
• Develop Media Plan for the projects to be in-line with Client’s requirements
• Develop Community outreach initiatives plan with media coverage plan for the planned initiatives
• Creation of storyboards for short movies/reels covering on-going Construction activities
• The Media Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and tracking relevant media platforms, including social media channels and newspapers, to identify coverage, public feedback, and emerging issues, and ensure timely and appropriate responses
• Capture and coordinate professional photography and video coverage of construction activities, completed works, site events, inspections, and project milestones.
• Prepare presentations, videos, photographs, graphics, project updates, and other visual communication materials for the client and project management team.
• Maintain an organized digital library of project photographs, videos, presentations, and other media assets, including appropriate dates, locations, descriptions, and classifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and other disciplines to identify activities and achievements requiring media coverage.
• Support the preparation of project success stories, before-and-after materials, progress summaries, and communication content demonstrating project accomplishments
• Assist with media arrangements for client visits, VIP visits, ceremonies, project events, and other official activities
• Ensure all media materials comply with the client’s requirements, Parsons’ standards, confidentiality requirements, and applicable approval procedures
• Coordinate with the client and relevant stakeholders regarding the review and approval of media materials prior to publication or external distribution
• Support the preparation of internal communication materials and project-related content for approved digital and social media channels
• Monitor media requirements and maintain a forward schedule for upcoming project milestones, events, and activities requiring coverage
• Perform other media and communication-related duties as required to support successful delivery and closeout of the Remaining Works Project

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in media, communications, public relations, or content development, preferably supporting construction, infrastructure, engineering, or major projects.
• Strong experience in photography, videography, video editing, graphic content, and preparation of professional presentations
• Proficiency in relevant media and design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud applications or equivalent tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel…etc..)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight project deadlines
Ability to work on active construction sites and coordinate media coverage in accordance with project safety requirements

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous experience working on major infrastructure or construction projects in Qatar.
• Experience working with government entities, engineering consultants, contractors, or project management organizations
• Arabic language skills would be an advantage
• Experience developing project documentaries, milestone videos, executive presentations, and before-and-after project materials
• Knowledge of social media content development and corporate communication standards
• Strong creative judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to translate technical project information into clear and engaging visual content
• Familiarity with infrastructure project closeout and the documentation of project achievements and legacy materials
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and fast-track environment is essential, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing requirements and tight deadlines
