Job Summary:**

Fabricas Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a skilled Mechanic Workshop Appliances and Tooling to maintain, repair, and optimize a wide range of workshop machinery, equipment, and specialized tools. This role ensures the continuous operational efficiency and safety of our manufacturing and maintenance facilities.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform routine preventative maintenance on various workshop appliances including, but not limited to, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, welding equipment, presses, and hydraulic systems.
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in workshop machinery and tools using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic equipment.
* Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of worn or defective parts, components, and assemblies for all workshop equipment.
* Fabricate or modify parts as needed using various machining and welding techniques.
* Conduct calibration and testing of tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including LOTO procedures, while performing duties.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new workshop machinery and equipment.
* Provide technical support and guidance to workshop personnel regarding equipment operation and minor troubleshooting.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains related to workshop tooling and equipment.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical, industrial, or electromechanical maintenance strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic or technician in an industrial or manufacturing workshop environment.
* Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
* Strong practical skills in machining (turning, milling), welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), and precision measurement.
* Familiarity with various hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial machinery and workshop operations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various industrial environments.
