About the role

Job Summary
The Group Data & Analytics Sr. Specialist is responsible for managing data analytics projects, developing reports and dashboards, and providing insights to support decision-making. This role ensures data accuracy and supports business intelligence initiatives. This job profile is intended for specialist professionals that apply advanced knowledge of a job area. Required to manage projects / processes independently with limited supervision. Typically coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Job purpose

Lead technical design, integration and operation of Sulzer's Master Data Management capability, providing reliable master-data services across enterprise applications, business processes and analytical platforms.

 

Main selling points of the job (for recruiting)

  • Shape a strategic enterprise MDM capability connecting SAP, cloud platforms and business processes, with responsibility spanning architecture, integration, workflow and production reliability.

 

Main accountabilities and tasks (include KPIs and ESH requirements, if available)

·       Own MDM technical architecture, design and implementation in alignment with enterprise & data architecture.

·       Design master-data models, hierarchies, validation logic and technical workflows.

·       Implement match/merge, survivorship, golden-record and data-distribution capabilities where applicable.

·       Design integrations with SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake and other enterprise systems / SaaS platforms.

·       Develop and govern APIs, interfaces and master-data distribution mechanisms.

·       Implement business rules and stewardship workflows defined through Data Governance and business ownership.

·       Ensure technical monitoring, reliability, security, performance and operational controls.

·       Manage MDM releases, technical lifecycle and environment strategy.

·       Coordinate MDM implementation and service partners.

·       Partner closely with Data Governance, Enterprise/Data Solution Architecture and Data Engineering.

Financial:  As per approved budget / DOA, where applicable.

Geographic:   Global

Key internal / external stakeholders:  Data & Analytics team, Data Governance, Business Data Owners/Stewards, Data & Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, SAP/application teams and MDM service partners.

Decision authority (based on DOA matrix, specific for the job): MDM technical design and integration within approved architecture and governance standards.

 

Desired experience and qualifications

Work experience: 8-10+ years of experience in MDM, enterprise data integration or data platforms, including demonstrated responsibility for complex MDM/integration implementations.

Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):  Enterprise MDM concepts and technology; master-data modelling and hierarchies; match/merge and survivorship; workflows; SAP integration; APIs; data integration; cloud/data platforms.

Education:  Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Certifications:  Relevant MDM, SAP, cloud or integration certifications desirable.

Languages: Fluent English.

Soft skills: Technical depth; cross-functional collaboration; structured problem solving; vendor coordination; strong documentation and communication.

Other: Demonstrated success working in a global matrix organization; commitment to Sulzer's applicable ESH, security, compliance and confidentiality requirements.
