Position Summary:

Nordic Naturals is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and process-oriented Master Data Manager to administer and operationalize the Company's enterprise Master Data operating model. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting Operations, this role is responsible for day-to-day Master Data governance, standards, data quality, lifecycle controls, and continuous improvement across customer, vendor/business partner, material, pricing, hierarchy, and finance data domains.

This position serves as the central link among business data owners, Finance, Information Technology, SAP teams, and other enterprise stakeholders. Business functions remain accountable for the content and business decisions within their domains, while the Master Data Manager owns the governance process, workflow discipline, quality framework, documentation, and execution needed to create trusted, consistent, secure, and scalable Master Data. The role facilitates the Data Governance Council led by the Senior Manager, translates approved decisions into action, and helps ensure Master Data supports SAP S/4HANA, automation, analytics, operational excellence, compliance, and future growth.

Reasonable Accommodations Statement:

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Master Data Strategy & Roadmap: Translate the enterprise Master Data design, strategy, vision, and priorities established by the Senior Manager and Data Governance Council into practical standards, procedures, controls, implementation plans, and a measurable roadmap.
  • Data Governance Council Facilitation: Facilitate the Data Governance Council led by the Senior Manager by preparing agendas, decision materials, recommendations, metrics, action registers, and follow-up. Administer approved decision rights, priorities, standards, and escalation paths across data domains.
  • Enterprise Standards & Policies: Develop, document, maintain, and enforce enterprise data definitions, naming conventions, validation rules, ownership requirements, approval standards, retention expectations, and operating procedures in alignment with approved governance policy.
  • Master Data Lifecycle Management: Own end-to-end processes and workflows for creating, changing, extending, blocking, and retiring Master Data, including request intake, validation, approval, documentation, segregation of duties, change control, and service-level expectations.
  • Data Domain Governance: Administer governance across customer, vendor/business partner, bank, material, pricing, hierarchy, and finance Master Data, including the chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, payment terms, and reason codes.
  • Data Quality Management: Establish data-quality rules, monitoring, dashboards, and remediation processes. Prevent and resolve duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, inaccurate, or noncompliant data and coordinate root-cause corrective actions with business and technical owners.
  • Business Data Owner Partnership: Partner with data owners and stewards across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other functions. Clarify accountability, support timely decisions, and ensure business owners remain responsible for data content within their domains.
  • SAP & Systems Partnership: Partner with Information Technology and SAP teams on configurations, integrations, enhancements, workflow automation, testing, releases, user acceptance testing, cutover, and stabilization activities affecting Master Data.
  • Issue Management & Escalation: Lead cross-functional investigation and resolution of enterprise Master Data issues, manage escalations according to the approved governance model, and identify preventive improvements that reduce rework, delays, and downstream business impact.
  • Compliance, Controls & Audit Readiness: Ensure Master Data activities comply with Company policies, authorization requirements, security standards, internal controls, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements while maintaining complete and accurate supporting documentation.
  • Change Management & Enablement: Develop communications, training, process guidance, and adoption support for data owners, stewards, requestors, approvers, and system users. Promote consistent use of standards and build enterprise understanding of Master Data responsibilities.
  • Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Define, analyze, and report KPIs such as data quality, duplicate reduction, request cycle time, first-time-right processing, issue aging, business satisfaction, and compliance or audit results. Use insights to prioritize automation and process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead through influence across functions and levels, establish shared accountability, support enterprise initiatives, and act as the primary operational point of contact for Master Data governance and process questions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Complete additional responsibilities, projects, and operational support activities as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in Master Data management, data governance, ERP-enabled business processes, business systems, Finance operations, Supply Chain operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional governance, process-design, data-quality, or enterprise change initiatives through influence and shared accountability.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable enterprise ERP system; experience with SAP Business Partner, material, customer, vendor, or finance Master Data is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Master Data governance principles, lifecycle management, data ownership and stewardship models, workflow controls, data quality, metadata, and issue remediation.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, security, change management, compliance, documentation, and audit-readiness requirements.
  • Ability to translate complex business and system requirements into clear policies, procedures, standards, workflows, decision materials, and training.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify root causes, interpret data-quality and process metrics, prioritize risk, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting or data-analysis tools; experience with workflow, data-quality, or governance tools is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain disciplined follow-through, and operate effectively in a changing environment.
  • Data-management, governance, project-management, or process-improvement certification (such as CDMP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma) is preferred but not required.
