What are we Looking For?
8-10+ years of indirect tax experience with significant Latin America VAT and indirect tax expertise.
Deep knowledge of VAT/GST compliance requirements across multiple LATAM jurisdictions.
Experience supporting SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Hands-on experience with ONESOURCE Determination, ONESOURCE Indirect Tax, Vertex, or similar tax engines.
Experience with VAT reporting and compliance solutions such as SAP DRC, ONESOURCE Compliance, or equivalent technologies.
Experience defining tax requirements for P2P, O2C, Intercompany, and R2R business processes.
Familiarity with LATAM e-invoicing regulations and business process impacts.
Experience gathering requirements, reviewing solution designs, and leading tax testing and deployment activities.
Proven ability to support multi-country LATAM deployments within a global template model.
Strong stakeholder management skills across Tax, Finance, Shared Services, IT, and implementation partners.
Strong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related discipline; tax certification preferred.
Preferred SAP S/4 HANA Program Experience:
Led indirect tax design for multi-country LATAM S/4HANA deployments, including Mexico.
Implemented SAP DRC or alternative VAT compliance reporting solutions.
Defined VAT reporting requirements for VAT Returns.
Defined tax requirements for e-invoicing mandates.
Managed tax data, tax codes, tax determination logic, and reporting requirements within SAP.
Led tax testing strategy, defect management, cutover, and go-live support activities.
Collaborated with Global Process Owners, Finance SMEs, System Integrators, and IT delivery teams to ensure tax compliance and operational readiness.
What are the Key Responsibilities?
Lead the LATAM indirect tax workstream for SAP S/4HANA design, build, testing, and deployment activities.
Serve as the primary SME for VAT and indirect tax requirements across Latin American countries.
Define business requirements for tax determination, tax calculation, and VAT reporting within SAP S/4HANA.
Lead tax design reviews for integration with ONESOURCE Tax Engine and requirements.
Define and validate requirements for VAT reporting solutions, including SAP DRC, ONESOURCE Compliance, or similar platforms.
Ensure indirect tax requirements are incorporated into Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Intercompany, and Record-to-Report processes.
Partner with country tax teams to identify and document local indirect tax requirements.
Support e-invoicing workstreams by providing indirect tax requirements, reviewing solution designs, and validating tax impacts.
Participate in fit-to-standard workshops, process design sessions, and solution governance reviews.
Lead tax testing activities, defect review, and business sign-off for indirect tax functionality.
Monitor regulatory changes affecting VAT and indirect tax compliance across LATAM countries.
Support audit readiness, tax controls, and compliance risk mitigation activities.

Country indirect tax requirement inventories and localization decisions.
Tax process flows, functional specifications, and business design documentation.
Tax-related User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, scripts, execution results, and defect resolution tracking.
VAT reporting requirements for returns, digital reporting obligations, and indirect tax compliance processes.
Tax controls and compliance requirements incorporated into business processes.
Executive status updates on indirect tax readiness, risks, decisions, and deployment progress.
Go-live readiness assessments and post-deployment stabilization support.
