About the role

Bring your marketing creativity to a role that makes an impact! HealthFitness is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to develop engaging campaigns and communications that connect employees with fitness and wellbeing programs across multiple client locations. You’ll partner with key stakeholders to create promotional materials, support events and wellbeing initiatives, and find new ways to increase awareness, participation, and engagement. This Monday–Friday opportunity can be based in Smithfield, RI; Covington, KY; Merrimack, NH; Westlake, TX; or Durham, NC.

Responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication strategies that drive member awareness, engagement, recruitment, utilization, and retention. Partners with key stakeholders to plan campaigns, create promotional materials, support events and wellbeing initiatives that maintain consistent client and company branding to support client goals. Monitors marketing effectiveness and identifies opportunities to strengthen engagement and overall program participation.

Key Accountabilities

Marketing strategy and planning

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop marketing goals, objectives, and engagement strategies including signage, newsletters, special events, member campaigns, wellbeing programming, and promotional activities.
• Develop and manage marketing calendars and supporting materials that promote membership growth, utilization, retention, wellbeing initiatives, and special events.
• Track the performance of marketing campaigns and provide insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure all marketing and communication materials comply with client and company brand standards, messaging guidelines, and communication protocols.
• Leverage company marketing materials and resources to support consistent branding and messaging.
• Support additional marketing initiatives as needed.

Content creation and execution

• Create and coordinate communications and promotional materials in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute marketing and communication campaigns to increase member awareness, participation, and utilization of programs, services, and events.
• Coordinate the development and manage the implementation of member retention programs.
• Create and maintain a marketing library of various program templates.

Member engagement, events, and employee outreach

• Support recruitment, retention, and satisfaction efforts through targeted marketing and communications.
• Identify and promote collaborative marketing opportunities that increase awareness and engagement.
• Partner with event organizers and amenity providers to promote fairs, special events, and other community-facing activities.

Client partnership

• Partners with stakeholders on overall engagement strategy including signage, special events, member specific campaigns, wellbeing programming, etc. to drive member engagement, recruitment, and satisfaction as it relates to programming and services.
• Create, maintain, and manage approved client-specific branded marketing templates and resources for onsite team use.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field plus 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to occasionally travel overnight when needed to support events and other business needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and quality customer service skills.
• Demonstrated experience developing high-level digital and multi-media marketing collateral.
• Evidence of experience or ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous projects.
• Demonstrated high level skills in writing promotional pieces, newsletters, member communications and web-content.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
• Proficiency in managing social networks.
• Strong communication skills, tight coordination, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred:

• Fitness industry, recreation, health promotion or wellness background.
• Event experience.
• Video production experience.
• Proficiency using tools like Canva, SharePoint, SplashThat, MS Office Suite, and CMT.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 annually. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.  We understand that compensation is an important factor when considering a new opportunity, and we strive to provide a competitive wage within the market.
