Every day, ships and businesses transport goods around the world. Our Marine, Cargo & Logistics teams help clients protect their ships, cargo and transport operations if something goes wrong, such as damage, theft, accidents or delays.
You’ll gain exposure across our different Marine, Cargo and Logistics teams, working alongside our brokers, technicians and claims professionals to learn how we support our clients. This will give you experience in several areas and help you discover where your interests and strengths lie.
You’ll join Howden on a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.
What you’ll be doing?
You will begin with a structured induction before joining our Marine, Cargo & Logistics team, where you will work alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.
During the programme, you'll:
- Rotate across different areas of Marine, Cargo and Logistics insurance.
- Learn how businesses use insurance to protect their ships, cargo and transport operations.
- Support the team with processing insurance information and client requests.
- Learn how an insurance policy moves from a client’s first enquiry through to placement, servicing and renewal.
- Support the team with keeping our systems and client records up to date.
