Location/Division Specific Information:

Join a collaborative manufacturing team supporting the assembly and testing of complex electro-mechanical and opto-electrical products. You’ll work in a production environment committed to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and delivering products that meet customer expectations.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

As an Operator II, you will assemble, align, inspect, and test complex electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to quality will help ensure products consistently meet established specifications and quality standards.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assemble, align, and test complex electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies according to product diagrams, schematics, drawings, or samples.
  • Clean and prepare parts for assembly while consistently adhering to established quality standards and procedures.
  • Use common hand tools and assembly equipment, including torque drivers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, crimp tools, and wire cutters.
  • Read and interpret production and engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, test instructions, assembly drawings, work orders, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Determine the appropriate sequence of operations based on sketches, samples, and written or oral instructions.
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify conformance to specifications and accurately record results.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 1 year of directly applicable experience as an electro-mechanical assembler or in a related manufacturing, operations, or production environment.

Preferred: Experience operating computers and common software applications used in workplace and manufacturing systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to assemble, align, and test complex electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret production and engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, test instructions, assembly drawings, work orders, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Ability to select and use common hand tools with precision, including torque drivers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, crimp tools, and wire cutters.
  • Strong attention to detail with the manual dexterity to grasp, hold, and manipulate small objects repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Ability to determine the sequence of assembly operations from sketches, samples, and written or oral instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Work is performed in a production environment where the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety procedures are expected. The position requires regular sitting, handling, fingering, and feeling, with occasional walking and standing. Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision, as well as effective eye-hand coordination. The role requires the ability to perform detailed assembly activities involving small components for extended periods and to interact effectively and professionally with team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Washington is $16.78–$25.16.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
