Role Purpose

The Role will support the Global Drilling Services S&OP organization by transforming complex materials and operational data into scalable, automated, and actionable planning solutions.

The role will have a particular focus on repairable materials, sub-assemblies and capitalized inventory, connecting data across operations, AMO, Manufacturing and regional organizations.

Rather than relying on manual analysis and individual material reviews, the role will develop automated data models, dashboards and analytics capable of identifying planning gaps, determining inventory requirements and supporting proactive materials decisions at global scale.

SQL, Power BI and automation will be key enablers of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable analytical models and automated solutions supporting global S&OP and materials planning processes, with particular focus on repairables, sub-assemblies and capitalized inventory.
• Connect and analyze data from SAP and other enterprise data sources, including material consumption, scrap, repair activity, circulation hours, installed/available asset population and inventory.
• Develop models to determine appropriate material and sub-assembly requirements based on asset population, historical consumption, utilization, repair behavior and operational demand.
• Build and maintain end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data extraction, transformation, data modeling, business logic, DAX and dashboard development.
• Use SQL to create scalable datasets and analytical models, reducing dependency on manual Excel-based analysis and repetitive data preparation.
• Develop automated planning alerts and exception-management mechanisms to identify material shortages, excess inventory, abnormal consumption, planning gaps and other conditions requiring action.
• Develop and progressively enhance predictive analytics supporting materials requirements and repairable inventory decisions.
• Maintain and improve analytical methodologies such as sub-assembly-to-asset ratios, ensuring planning parameters evolve with changes in fleet size, utilization and operational behavior.
• Improve visibility and control of capitalized inventory, supporting appropriate inventory positioning and utilization.
• Partner directly with Regional S&OP/Planning teams, AMO and Manufacturing to understand operational problems, validate assumptions and translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Work independently from an initially defined business problem to investigate data, identify root causes, develop potential solutions and implement sustainable tools with appropriate stakeholder guidance.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and automate existing manual processes across regions rather than developing isolated local solutions.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to S&OP and operational stakeholders based on the analytical models developed.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on SQL skills, including the ability to extract, combine, transform and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong Power BI capabilities, with demonstrated experience developing solutions end-to-end, including Power Query/data transformation, data modeling, DAX and visualization.
• Experience developing automated and scalable analytical solutions, replacing repetitive manual processes with sustainable data-driven workflows.
• Ability to translate an ambiguous business problem into a structured analytical approach and independently drive the solution with limited guidance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect operational behavior with materials and inventory requirements.
• Ability to work effectively across a global, cross-functional organization, interacting with regional teams, Manufacturing, AMO, S&OP and other functions.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP data and materials-related processes. Deep SAP expertise is not required, but familiarity with SAP environments would be advantageous.
• Experience within Drilling Services, Oilfield Services or another asset-intensive industrial environment.
• Understanding of drilling tools, AMO/repair operations, manufacturing processes, repairables and sub-assemblies.
• Understanding of S&OP, materials planning, inventory management, MRP and/or supply-demand planning concepts.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Power Automate, SAP automation or similar workflow/automation platforms.
• Exposure to predictive analytics, statistical modeling or advanced demand/material requirement modeling.
