Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
Serve as the Manhattan Active WM Technical Architecture domain expert and advocate for sound architecture and implementation practices.
Own and/or support the overall technical architecture for Manhattan Active WM implementations.
Define how Active WM integrates into the client's broader enterprise and supply chain technology landscape.
Develop and maintain solution architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, integration architecture, data flows, interface inventories, and other technical design documentation.
Evaluate technical requirements and recommend solutions that maximize the use of standard Manhattan Active capabilities while minimizing unnecessary customization and technical complexity.
Provide technical leadership and architectural governance throughout design, build, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
Conduct technical design reviews and ensure solutions conform to established architecture, security, integration, and supportability standards.
Integration Architecture
Define the end-to-end integration architecture between Manhattan Active WM and upstream/downstream applications.
Design and review API, event, message, batch, and other integration patterns.
Work with client and vendor technical teams to define interface specifications, mappings, error handling, monitoring, reconciliation, and recovery processes.
Ensure interfaces support required transaction volumes, performance expectations, operational resiliency, and business continuity requirements.
Coordinate integration dependencies across Manhattan Associates, client teams, third-party software providers, automation vendors, and systems integrators.
Support troubleshooting of complex integration issues and facilitate root-cause analysis across system boundaries.
Extensions & Technical Requirements
Partner with functional leads and client stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify requirements that cannot be satisfied through standard Active WM capabilities.
Evaluate technical gaps and determine appropriate solutions using supported Manhattan Active extensibility capabilities and integration patterns.
Translate functional requirements and GAP Analysis findings into detailed technical requirements and solution designs.
Develop or review technical specifications for approved extensions and integrations.
Ensure extensions follow Manhattan Active architecture principles and are designed to minimize impacts to scalability, maintainability, upgrades, and long-term support.
Coordinate technical requirements walkthroughs, design reviews, and client/vendor approvals.
Data Architecture & Migration
Define and support Active WM data requirements, including master data, configuration data, transactional data, and integration data.
Support data mapping and conversion activities between legacy systems and Active WM.
Develop or review data migration and conversion strategies.
Define validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
Support cutover planning related to data conversion, initial data loads, interface activation, and transaction synchronization.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Provide technical leadership for system integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing, regression testing, and production readiness.
Partner with functional and testing teams to translate integration and technical requirements into test scenarios and scripts.
Ensure testing validates complete business transactions across Active WM and integrated applications rather than individual interfaces in isolation.
Support defect triage and root-cause analysis.
Coordinate with Manhattan Associates, client IT teams, integration partners, and third-party vendors to resolve technical defects.
Review testing results and technical quality metrics to assess production readiness.
Performance, Scalability & Reliability
Assess solution architecture for expected warehouse transaction volumes, peak processing requirements, interface throughput, and operational demands.
Identify potential architectural, integration, or performance risks before deployment.
Support performance and volume testing activities.
Work with Manhattan Associates and client technology teams to diagnose performance issues and develop appropriate remediation plans.
Ensure the overall solution is designed for scalability, reliability, recoverability, and operational support.
Deployment, Go-Live & Production Support
