As the Country Manager for Bangladesh, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, delivering sales and market share objectives, and leading the execution of commercial strategies across the market. You will play a critical role in shaping country priorities, strengthening customer partnerships, optimizing trade investments, and ensuring operational excellence.
This leadership position combines strategic planning, commercial execution, stakeholder management, and people leadership to accelerate business performance while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
What You'll Do:
Drive Business Growth:
Deliver sales, profitability, and market share objectives for Bangladesh.
Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies aligned with business priorities.
Analyze market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
Partner with regional leadership to establish and execute country plans.
Lead Commercial Excellence:
Optimize trade investment to deliver strong return on investment.
Drive successful commercialization and launch of new products and seasonal programs.
Build strategic relationships with key customers and distributors.
Leverage local market insights to strengthen commercial effectiveness and execution.
Strengthen Operational Performance:
Ensure effective sales forecasting and provide insights on risks and opportunities.
Maintain strong controls around trade spending, revenue management, and business processes.
Support integrated business planning and contribute to category and commercial planning activities.
Lead People and Partnerships:
Foster a high-performance and highly engaged team culture.
Communicate business priorities and results effectively across the organization.
Manage relationships with local stakeholders, including board members and business partners as required.
Serve as the legal signing authority and oversee country facilities and operations in Bangladesh.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
MBA from a recognized leading business school.
12+ years of progressive experience in Sales and Marketing within a leading FMCG organization.
Strong experience in Customer Marketing, Key Account Management, Field Sales, and/or Distributor Management.
Demonstrated ability to execute business strategies and build high-performing teams.
Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), Corporate Planning (CorPlan), and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
Strong analytical and financial acumen, particularly in sales performance and trade spending management.
Experience utilizing syndicated market data and interpreting financial reports.
Ability to understand cross-functional business impacts and make informed decisions.
