We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Product Management to join our J&J Surgical Vision team. This position is based in Irvine, CA.
Purpose:
Manages daily product operations under minimal supervision. Executes the Product Management strategy and employs a customer-centric approach that incorporates the latest innovations in research and development. Creates presentations and reports that highlight key performance indicators and reflect the complexities of the market. Incorporates industry best practices into recurring Product Management processes. Utilizes predictive analytical tools to forecast product performance in the market and recommend product enhancements. Coaches and trains junior colleagues in techniques, processes and responsibilities. Integrates Johnson & Johnson Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
You will be responsible for:
- In alignment with the Senior Product Manager, develop and lead the strategic execution of the premium portfolio of IOLs (Presbyopia Correcting IOLs), to achieve growth to meet or exceed Business Plan.
- Work with Field Sales Organization and Customers to obtain and incorporate feedback and voice of the customer into Premium IOLs plans and strategies.
- Lead forecast process with Demand Planning, make proposed changes and articulate reasons to believe in leadership reviews.
- Manage budget for the portfolio to ensure appropriate spending.
- Ensure appropriate communication of critical information to FSO.
- Ensure alignment of Channels and Communications plans as well as presence at conferences with the premium portfolio strategy.
- Veeva, asset creation and approval.
- Work closely with Global Business Insights, Data Analytics and Field Sales Organization partners to understand US customer purchase behavior and needs, translating it into marketing assets, campaigns and/or commercial programs
- Work cross functionally to sustain in-market portfolio including competitive responses strategy, commercial programs, contract strategy, channel plans, value messaging, new assets and maintenance of existing assets, etc.
- Support tactical execution of customer events and tradeshows, symposia, and other annual events.
- Develop and provide input to training materials, presentations and participate in training activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of dynamic business experience in any of the following areas: Marketing, Sales, or related experience is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device or other healthcare regulated environment is required.
- Ophthalmology experience is preferred.
- Experience running medical device product lines, including leading product marketing and setting strategic direction for product portfolio is preferred.
- The ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, customer-focused environment is required.
- Demonstrable experience developing and executing successful business plans, and marketing and launching new products, services and programs to the healthcare community is preferred.
- The ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment and be comfortable making informed decisions with incomplete information is required.
- Demonstration of the ability to partner cross functionally in a matrixed organization, influencing without authority is required.
- This position will be located in Irvine, CA and may require up to 25% domestic travel, including some weekends.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
