As the Product Manager for Islamic Retail Financing, you will be the primary architect of our financing growth strategy. Your mission is to blend Shariah-compliant principles with innovative product design to drive top-line revenue and sustainable profitability. You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from conceptualizing new margin-optimization strategies to launching high-impact marketing campaigns and distribution—ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and customer-centric in an evolving digital landscape. You will manage a team to drive Retail Financing growth and market share.
Functional (job responsibilities)
Strategic Product Management
- Drive Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for Financing products to hit yearly top line, revenue, margin, and customer acquisition targets.
- Yield Optimization: Implement dynamic pricing strategies and portfolio initiatives to optimize the retail banking balance sheet and maximize profitability.
- Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all Islamic retail financing products, ensuring they remain relevant and high-performing.
- Process Innovation: Continuously audit and simplify internal processes to enhance the experience for both frontline staff and customers.
- Product Innovation: Develop and enhance Islamic financing products lead the market and maintain competitiveness.
- Digitization: Grow and expand product acquisition digitally.
Collaboration & Market Reach
- Ecosystem Engagement: Partner with the Bank’s distribution networks, sales channels, and SLA partners to boost sales volume and customer retention. Develop new distribution opportunities to deliver optimum sales volume.
- Synergy Leadership: Work alongside Conventional business units to penetrate target markets, ensuring a unified approach to financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Marketing Integration: Collaborate with Marketing to design data-driven campaigns that solidify our presence within the target audience and reach new segments.
- Sales Team Management: Manage a dedicated sales team to drive sales throughput.
Governance & Analytics
- Business Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive analytics on product metrics and competitor landscape to derive actionable insights and steer business performance.
- Risk & Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation of policies and procedures. Ensure all activities strictly adhere to the Shariah Governance Framework, legal regulations, and Bank SOPs.
- Cost Control: Monitor product costs and implement risk-mitigation measures to protect the Bank’s exposure.
Leadership & Team Impact
- Mentorship: Guide and motivate the financing team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Knowledge Transfer: Ensure relevant stakeholders are fully trained on product nuances and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Decision Making: Act as a self-starter who can resolve complex problems and make difficult decisions under tight deadlines.
- Succession Planning: Proactively manage staffing, retention, and talent development within the unit.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
- Continuously guide and motivate team members in overall Financing product management.
- Ensure adequate training and knowledge transfers across relevant stakeholders are performed.
- Thorough in assessing problems resolutions and able to make difficult decisions.
- Plan and execute staffing succession planning and retention.
- A self-starter, independent, self-organized and able to work under tight deadlines.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities)

Education/Qualification
- Relevant Degree
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in banking institutions
- Minimum 5 years experience in Product Management or Business Development
Special Skills
- Thorough understanding of retail Financing operations, pertinent regulations impacting retail banking
- Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder-facing experience, ideally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong, problem-solving, and analytical, skills
- Strong ability to use numerical data to develop tactical plans within the broad context of strategic plans and change them as warranted by results.
