Company:

Marsh

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workforce Transformation Consulting team at Marsh People & Investments. This role will be based in London, although other UK locations will be considered. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

  • Do you have advanced experience in projects such as UK & Ireland pay gap compliance, pay equity, pay transparency, DEI transformation, and/or workforce/people strategy? Would you like to apply that experience in a highly topical and growing area of client demand?
  • Working within a team of experts in this area, and as part of the wider Workforce Transformation Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to lead on client projects and support on larger client projects. Due to the growth in this space, this role has significant opportunities for progression and collaboration with European and Global colleagues.
  • This is an opportunity to grow your career in this area and have an impact on the world of work.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and support client delivery across fair pay and DEI projects, which could be a mixture of local pay gap compliance reporting, pay equity analysis, pay transparency readiness and strategy, DEI diagnostics, stakeholder interviews, workshop facilitation, and DEI strategy development.
  • Manage mid-sized projects and multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery quality, effective project management, and strong day-to-day client relationships. Project manage end-to-end inclusion and transparency related projects, including diagnostics, workshops and action plan creation. You will also project manage UK & Ireland Pay Gap projects, support on increasing demand for EU legislative support and connect the dots to wider pay equity work.
  • Build a thorough understanding of each client's business goals, strategies, culture and organisation and partner effectively, to translate analysis and quantitative insight into practical recommendations and broader transformation agendas.
  • Review and guide quantitative and qualitative analysis, including pay gap analysis, pay equity analysis, broader people analytics, stakeholder interviews, policy and practice review and interpretation of findings into clear client recommendations and action plans.
  • Lead client presentations, and contribute to executive discussions, workshops, and readouts, connecting findings to broader workforce, reward, and transformation solutions.
  • Seek to upsell and expand existing projects and support more senior consultants with new prospect opportunities.
  • Stay informed on UK and Ireland pay gap reporting requirements, EU pay transparency readiness, and related legislative or market developments, bringing together compliance and strategic perspectives.
  • Apply a strong curiosity for AI to improve day-to-day delivery, strengthen our propositions, and identify practical opportunities to use AI-enabled approaches in analysis, storytelling, knowledge capture, and solution development.
  • Contribute to sales and business development by shaping proposals, supporting client account growth, identifying follow-on opportunities, and helping to evolve our market point of view.
  • Coach and review the work of more junior colleagues, helping to build capability across the team and supporting high-quality deliverables. Help to ensure quality of delivery, guide more junior colleagues, and contribute to the continued evolution of our solutions and propositions, including the use of AI in both client delivery and day-to-day team effectiveness.

What you need to have:

  • Progressive experience in fair pay, reward, DEI, and workforce consulting, which could include experience in pay gap compliance, pay equity, pay transparency, DEI diagnostics, DEI strategy, people analytics, or related advisory work.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple relevant or transferable small- to mid-sized projects and workstreams, with accountability for delivery quality, timelines, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and Ireland gender pay gap requirements and a good understanding of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and related market developments.
  • Experience translating quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, practical recommendations for clients.
  • Advanced Excel and data interpretation skills, with the ability to spot issues, challenge assumptions, and generate a concise story from complex analysis.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify small errors and their causes.
  • Diligence regarding day-to-day business administration tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited guidance on complex tasks.
  • Strong team working skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines.
  • A curious, practical mindset toward AI, with an interest in using AI to improve the way work is delivered, enhance client solutions, and build new capabilities in the team.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
